Dark stains on car upholstery

I wear lots of black. As much as Johnny Cash.
My car’s interior is a light beige.

Recently I noticed that my driver’s seat looks like it has been charred. Today I bought some aerosol upholstery cleaner of a chelonian bent touting the fact that it has oxy in it. After a few applications, sweat and elbow grease the dark marks are still on the seat.

Yeah I know I could get seat covers but I’d like to get them almost new. Does anyone have any suggestions about cleaning car interior upholstery?

You might want to consider going to one of those premium car wash places and get them steam cleaned.

Just a thought, but if you know the stains are, uh, biological in nature, an enzyme cleaner might do the trick.

I use Resolve Pet Stain Remover on any spot which is food or bodily-fluid created. Works like a charm.

Worth a try, anyway.

No, the stains are not biological in nature.
