Hi all dopers,

Heard so much about SD from a friend, that it was the first place I decided to go to when I was in loss about a Dave Matthews song. Heard this song playing at a mall and recognized it to be Dave Matthews. It had the words “hundred years” in it.

I know this isn’t much to go on, but thats why I’m here. Do you know of a Dave Matthews song that has these words in it?

Dave Matthews has a song called ‘Gravedigger’ which mentions a man who lived to “a hundred and three” but I think the song you’re asking about was probably ‘A Hundred Years’ by Five for Fighting, who sound an awful lot like DMB. :slight_smile:

I thought of Gravedigger too, because it’s one of the very short list of DMB songs I actually like, but I think you’re right about it being the Five For Fighting song which is even whinier than DMB’s music. It’s the theme song of Life As We Know It.

Does the context say something about being 15 and only having “one hundred years to live”?

Thanks. The song I was looking out for was apparently ‘100 years’ by Five for Fighting, who sound quite similar to Dave Matthews.
