David Barbeito, 49, national president of the Pagan’s (sic) Motorcycle Club, has been arrested at his compound near Frederick, Maryland. Charges include criminal conspiracy, murder, kidnapping, and other assorted stuff.

Police served a no-knock warrant, maintaining that Barbeito would destroy evidence and fire on law enforcement if tipped off of the upcoming raid.

I went to boy scouts with Dave. His dad, Manny, was an assistant scoutmaster. He was some sort of scientist at Fort Detrick. I think we both made eagle scout the same night. He was a pudgy little kid, nice fellow.

Some people simply live more exciting lives than others, I suppose. Gee, I wonder if I ought to visit him in jail?

How strange, I think one of the weirdest things I’ve heard about a former classmate is about the cheerleader who now works for the FBI. Nothing that “interesting,” certainly!
