We had it over Christmas, and it’s really very good IMHO. It really rattles along and it’s clear and engaging. I’m sure there’s room for criticism, but I loved it, and thought they were both great.
Ah yes, part of ‘Tennantmas.’ I think between the BBC on the tellybox, radio, and internets, DT was in about 3,500 shows over the holidays. Or maybe it just felt like that.
Agreed, though – you’re in for a treat. Terrific acting, and a really neat use of cameras, too.
It was impossible to get tickets for this when they were in the West End, so I’m glad they filmed it. Trivia note: this is the second time Patrick Stewart has played King Claudius, as he had the role way back when Derek Jacobi was Hamlet.
