Did anyone else catch this? The first four episodes aired on your ABC in November to December, primetime (right before 24) but got cancelled because of poor view rates. However, all the episodes are availible for web-view through ABC’s homepage and in better quality through more sordid methods.
I still think it’s an awesome show and I just finished watching the last 6 episodes in a row. Great, well polished and probably my favourite casted show, ever.
Tried a few searches for any mentions on the Dope, but “Day” is too short a word to search for, apparently.
This show does not get enough <3!
I watched the season (13 episodes). I enjoyed it, but the last few episodes were reworked to provide 100% closure, and it felt rushed. Still, you knew even before season end that he was going to move forward at least one day, and I was curious where a season two might have gone. While I liked the show overall, can’t say I was fully onboard with the flip-flopping of the good and bad guys. It got comical towards the end. Every episode, the character of the day changed sides.
Awesome! I waited about two months after they canceled the show and the episodes never showed up online. I’ll have to get them and watch the rest. I loved the show and was very upset when it was canceled.
The episodes have been up for a while; I started a thread a month or two ago you might be able to find if you look for threads started by me.
I don’t know if there ever was a season two planned. I like to think that the 13 episodes were always intended to stand alone. I thought they did a pretty good job about wrapping everything up at the end, too. If nothing else, it was a great showcase for Taye Diggs – I look forward to seeing him again sometime.
Okay, I did the search for you: Day Break on ABC.com
I was surprised that the show was cancelled. I knew that it was only going to be a one season serial. They couldn’t even show the last two or three episodes, and considering the nature of the show that really burned me up.
The show’s concept really worked. It gave new meaning to the phrase the “plot thickens”. I will watch shows that have that unraveling quality of Day Break, Roswell, Dark Angel, or even Macolm in the Middle.
