Gawd I hate days like today. I know, lot’s of y’all live in an environment like this on a far more frequent basis than I, but for me it sucks.
About 15 times a year I have to take day trips (aka flydays) where I get up at some ungodly hour and spend 2-3 hours getting myself to some other city where I work all day in someone else’s office, most commonly in concert with other out-of-towners, we have sandwiches transported in and we work hard and maybe have to go through some late in the day decision making process, but usually defer that and concentrate on what tidbits of data we can transport and then do the travel thing all over to get home. Meanwhile, we’ve ignored the home front all day and it’s late when I get back and all the rest of my schedule’s a mess, blah, blah, blah…
