DC Comics Oracle question(spoilers, big spoilers)

A question for people who read more comics than I do

I was flipping through an issue of Batman on the newstand the other day and Nightwing (former Robin) and Bats were talking, they mentioned how they could no longer use Oracle for an information source.

Has the fatal mistake of being female in the DC universe finally caught up with Barbara Gordon? Is Oracle dead? :(

Nah.
She & Jim Gordon moved, I think to Florida, so they could be together when he retired there.

Rumor has it that she may soon get her legs working again.
This may, and I stress may, take place in a crossover event with Supergirl.

Well, she was OK as of last month’s Countdown to infinite Crisis. I think there was some sort of falling out between her and Batman as part of the War Games event from several months ago. I didn’t read it, so I can’t tell you the details.

:Whew:

Thanks!

Black Mask, the top criminal dog in Gotham at the moment found her clocktower but mistook it for the Batcave. Babs had to blow it up to protect her (and Bruce’s, and every other hero in the DCU’s) secrets. She’s still working with the Birds of Prey.

Since the tower went boom, Babs tooks the BOPs on a big plane and are doing their crime-fighting cross-country instead of just in Gotham (wherever that’s supposed to be). She feels everything that was her life since she lost her legs was encompassed in that building, and now that it’s gone she has no reason to stay there.

Not that I blame her: I wouldn’t stay in a majoy city you can’t find on a map, either.

What?

Gotham’s in Jersey, same as it always was.

You fresh outta Arkham or sumptin?

Maybe it’s because they signed a deal with microsoft??

Just a joke, everybody.
