The one I miss the most would have to be Brandon Lee. I really got the feeling that his career was just starting to take off.
Cary Grant, that dude was suave. I still like to catch “North by Northwest” now and again. Which also had James Mason.
Natalie Wood…
And an actress I hadn’t though of in a while until I caught a bit of “The Omen” the other night, Lee Remick. She was very pretty in a very understated way.
Good one, Duke of Rat Lee Remick was pretty and a good actress.
Another vote for River Phoenix [especially in 'Running on Empty"] and JT Walsh.
John Ritter was awesome in ‘Sling Blade’
Also: John [Jack] Nance. Disturbing, but interesting actor.
Oh no! I’d completely forgotten that he’d died!
Way to bum me out today.
He really was an incredible actor; some of us here across the pond remember him as well. PBS was good about introducing us to British TV drama…
I would love to see a new George C. Scott movie.
River Phoenix
Marty Feldman
Jim Henson
RAUL JULIA!!
I still can’t believe John Ritter is dead.
Jack Lemmon may have been 20 years older when he died than John Ritter was, but I was still taken aback when he died. I had no idea he was so ill, was sure he’d go on a bit longer. I think he improved with age and would have just kept going.
Agreed about Lemmon, I think his best role was in Glenngary Glenn Ross.
I’ll have to go along with Hartman and Farley. If we can do musicians, I miss Pac and Stevie Ray Vaughan.
"Oh no! I’d completely forgotten that he’d died!

Sorry! So did you guys ever get “Goodnight Mr Tom”? Personally, I think that was his greatest ever role.
Inspector Morse and Kavanagh, QC
Ok, so he had a more global appeal than I realised. Ever see The Sweeny?
Oh yes. And The Professionals. But I’m in Australia so we probably see a few more British shows. Ever see Shelley? I loved that.
Freddie Mercury. He was dead a week after I got my first Queen album.
What a waste.
Another vote for John Candy, he always seemed like such a kind man, there’s no one quite like him. And Jack Lemmon, especially if he’d had more opportunities to do some more fine cussin’ (after all those clean b&w movies, Glengarry is such a delightful shock). Votes for Gilda Radner, Peter Sellers and J.T. Walsh.
How about John Gielguld, even though I know he enjoyed a nice long life.
Irish actor/comedian ** Dermot Morgan** best known as the absolutely wonderful “Father Ted”.
Ashamed to admit that my first reaction to hearing of his death was - approximately - that it was damned inconsiderate of him, as it meant no more Father Ted ever. (Very bad, I know)
I know exactly what you mean! Father Ted is one of those shows that no matter how many times I watch it will still make howl with laughter. I miss it.
Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau two of my favorite actors. Together and seperate.
Katharine Hepburn. All time favorite Actress.
Is Abe Vigoda still alive?
Me too.
Right now - John Ritter.
