Dead Letter Office?

Hey all,

I recently (about a month ago) had a package shipped to my -former- address accidentally. The current appartment owner said he never receieved it, and I have no reason to disbelieve his claims. Assuming that the mail carrier read his name on the mailbox instead of mine, what happens to the package? I -think- it goes to something like a dead letter office, but I really have no idea. I’d obviously like to -get- said package, but just knowing where it is would be a nice first step. Anyone have any idea how to go about this? Oh, and it’s not a package from anywhere that would have any way to track it, unfortunately.

You should first contact the post office where the package was delivered. If anyone has it, they do. If not, they can tell you what to do next.

If it has a return address on it it should go back to sender.
