I’m still waiting on my company to provide me my last 1099 . . . isn’t it the law that the forms are sent by January 31st? Just checking. I want to get this over with.

They are supposed to be mailed no later than 1/31.
I’m still waiting for a 1099 too. It hasn’t been mailed but it was consulting work that I did for a very good friend of mine so I’m letting it slide.
The deadline is 1/31 for W2’s and 1099’s. The deadline can be satisfied by mailing them with a postmark of no later than 1/31. Everywhere I’ve worked has said if you don’t get it by 2/7 to let them know so they can reissue it.
