Dealer Stickers

Does anybody know the best way to remove dealership decals from their cars? I don’t like being a rolling advertisement.

Thanks!

A belt sander would do the job quickly. But if you don’t want to ruin the paint, use a hairdryer to heat the decal and soften the glue, and use your fingers. You’ll probably need to use some sort of polish or something to get the residual glue off.

I feel the same way about being a rolling advertisement, I have found that lighter fluid dissolves most adhesives so you might want to try that.

Maybe you could just call up a dealership and ask how they get the stickers off, they have to do it all the time so that they can put their own stickers on trade-ins.

Tell the salesman that the “deal is off” if a decal is placed on your vehicle. I have found that the decal is placed on the car after the car is sold, because dealers often trade vehicles with other dealers so they avoid putting the decals before they sell the car.

I’ve done this once before…and they did not put the decal on my vehicle…Instead they put a license plate border which I promptly removed…
