Dear Bibliophage..

ya should have started a post for this, I’ve been chasing your ass all over the pit with this conversation

(its your fault :P)

yeah, but rather than clutter things even more with a whole thread, i’m just gonna let it drop and let you go back to your “nice, happy, fall on stuff” type drunkenness.

nightey-o! have a good evening, CRorex!

Ah, Monster, so you’re drunk too, you lil’ dick? Bwaha! What a coincidence… I feel like I should be a-summonin’ Pinky here!

Not to hijack SUCH a wonderful, thought-provoking thread, started by the most brilliant of posters.

I suppose this is as good a place as any to observe:

When we can’t post drunken incoherent ramblings of stupefyingly eyeball-bleeding-inspiring inanity, the terrorists have already won.

You got that right, Daddy-O. I’m not drunk, I’m patriotic!

(Well, okay, so I’ve sobered up a tad in the past two hours… but I’ve found that Drunk SPOOFE and Sober SPOOFE are very similar people.)

General Mills – it’s even available in the archives.

Jesus, I’m setting myself up like a bowling pin here.

I understand Gazoo’s frustration. I don’t like his post here in this thread, though - I’d ban someone for making a comment like that.

But then, I’d have just moved their thread without being sarky about it. I’m sure that bibliophage wasn’t trying to be mean to the guy, but e-text is crazy sometimes. Things that you think are a mild, humorous poke at someone sound to them like a good old-fashioned public pimp-slapping. This has got me in trouble so many times I can’t count, so I sympathize with both parties in this situation.

I don’t think Gazoo should have complained in the manner that he did. But I also think that he should be given more leniency and understanding than he received, and his thread just moved with little comment. Or at least, a comment that was more clear as to the intent and instructions that were wished to be conveyed. His OP, while in the wrong Forum, true - was a constructive exercise that should have been welcomed here. It’s not like we don’t have enough threads dealing with scatological and fartilogical subjects.

And before this issue is brought up - no, moving threads in vBulletin 1.x takes the same amount of server time as closing them. There is a tiny difference in Verson 2.x, but none in 1.x. And I understand the frustration of Moderators who are faced with a consistant barrage of threads in wrong Forums. But if a thread appears to have some merit and worthiness, it seems to me that one should rather move it than lock it.

It’s only my opinion - besides, you know what they say about opinions and assholes.

There ya go, Anthracite, being all reasonable and stuff. Yer such a wet blanket! :stuck_out_tongue:
