Dear CNN And All Other Non-Deplorable News Sites

I recall a quote from about 2015-2016 from some media figure regarding you-know-who, and the conundrum they faced. Though the exact wording escapes me, a few don’t. It was something like:

Covering him is a ratings bonanza, which is great for us, but we wonder and worried if we might be enabling the the creation of a fourth reich

The “news” is an information based product. Time on the air is like rent; the time has to be rented out to advertisers. And advertisers need people to watch. People don’t necessarily watch to be informed; they watch to have their attention grabbed. Trump is good at grabbing people’s attention. Yes, it’s an addiction, a vicious cycle, which is made worse by social media that allow people to not only receive titillating entertainment but also push onto others as well.

Far fewer Trump stories (and Trump threads on the Dope) would be fine with me.

Another category for the Rat’s Ass Chronicles (stories about which I do not give a rat’s ass) is stuff about the Royal Family. Apparently Oprah just interviewed a couple of these entitled dingbats, giving rise to the following splendid headline:

“Meghan Markle drops bombshell when asked about reports she made Kate Middleton cry”

The baby Jesus would be far less likely to cry if it didn’t have to hear endless crap about the royals.

Dear CNN et al, please refer to him as “donald john trump”, as befits his place along side Booth and Oswald.

I prefer “un-indicted co-conspirator Donald John Trump”.

Maybe just “Don John”, sounds like dungeon.

Meh. I’ll let you know when I’m finished with “America-hating fuckstick.”
