Dear Conspiracy Theorists,

At least you folks back in the US have interesting WONJCTs. Over here in Korea, it’s all about a sneaky plan by the US to force Korean people to eat American beef by mislabeling it and putting it in all kinds of products.

There is no stupidity too outrageous for WONJCTs to buy into.

FACT: 90% of all conspiracy theories are made up by aliens, 20% of the previously mentioned theories are by the ghosts of aliens.

???
All my nutrition ‘comes from sunlight’, as I do not eat thermosynthetic organisms, or those that feed on them. Just what is your brother-in-law doing?

Me, I love a good Conspiracy Theory.
They must be logical, internally consistent, and be supported by verifiable facts; folding bills into funny shapes are not facts. I don’t mean adequate compelling evidence, just a few curious facts that can be moulded in a coherent argument. (I can’t think of a good example right now, of course.)

I don’t find the most frequent attack on CTs, that the secret would leak out, compelling; people can keep their mouths shut, and the Conspirators could discredit, imprison, or kill any one who was going to go public.

The second most frequent attack on CTs, that people just aren’t smart enough to pull one off, does give me pause; but, hey, all you need is one or two really smart people with lots of loyal minions.

Of course, I don’t hear enough super-flaky CTs; I’d probably find them really annoying, too.

I can barely speak to my wife about anything political now, she’s so deeply mired in CT. It saddens me like you wouldn’t believe. Then, she calls me weak and stupid because I “eat up what the Government is feeding [me].” Never mind that what I’m eating is my own common sense. :frowning:
I have a feeling that she’d want to dispute the moon landing, but she knows I’d sic my uncle on her – he worked for NASA for years, and he’s a bit of a nut, too, so she respects him.

To end an argument with a moonbat, say what Buzz Aldrin says:

“If you want to know if we landed on the moon, ask the Russians.”

They were watching, they were our enemies, they would’ve spoken up really quickly if they saw any shenanigans. This has never failed to shut one up for me. It has failed for Buzz, though, in which case you can do what he did.

Give 'em hell, Buzz!

I can relate. The SO and I have this really nice place we go to up in Northern New Hampshire once or twice a year and love it there. It’s “our” place. Except the last time we went, the proprietor decided to show me a book he’s read about the Bilderbergers and ever since then he’s been sending me conpiracy e-mails every now and then. The last one linked to a few You Tube videos about the Illuminati. It just makes me real uncomfortable about being able to go there agqin.

The Tuskegee Syphilis Experiment The Tuskegee experiment was kept under wraps for a very long time.

Well hush my mouth…

I could make some comment about it never happening in the UK but I’d probably be wrong so won’t bother.

That’s what they WANT you to think…

Someone spent a lot of time on the moon landing hoax.
I actually watched the whole thing, it’s get a little loose at the end.
