Carhartt is another good source of shirts for workmen.
I was going to suggest Carhartt also. My husband stopped at the Carhartt outlet in North Carolina on I-95 and bought a bunch of their t-shirts. They’re heavy and really good quality, tho they’re no match for my spousal unit’s ability to spill stuff on them or snag them on sheet metal and such. But even stained and holey (just little holes) they wash up great and he’ll wear them till they’re rags.
I saw on their website they have a couple of polos with pockets.
sigh
Yes, they have vests. But when you are in the desert, standing on blacktop, with the heat waves bending everything in your line of vision, and you’re wearing the hard hat (which really won’t protect you from anything), and people think it’s hilarious to swipe as close as they can to the workers, even a mesh vest can be too damned hot.
And orange polo shirts should be available year-round, at a reasonable cost.

Dickies has some Polos in various colors.
I buy all my lightweight work jackets from them.
I haven’t seen long-tail Polo shirts anywhere except Duluth. It seems to be a exclusive feature that they market.
Why? What if there’s not demand for them?

I buy the t-shirts for riding my handcycle, they’re cool even in 100F weather and reasonably colorfast in direct sun.
i can’t speak to the durability but the products are aimed at the construction industry in general.
I’ve been there, I mean that exact store. Dopefest on your next visit?
Good Morning,
No email from Mr.Duluth. No reply here. ISTR that Dickies has a store here in town, and another back home. I suppose will stop by.
Thank you all.
Read upthread. Highway workers (maintenance, surveys, construction), mining, other construction, any occupation where people have to work around large machines which could kill them.

I see Dickies’ has a similar product and a better price.
I like Carhartt polos. The link has big and tall polos with a pocket.
I’ve worked construction. I have never, ever, ever seen someone wearing an orange polo shirt on the job.
