Dear Eve, & All Movie Dopers--King Kong?

To Eve & all the older movie fans out there:

I need a good King Kong link. My favorite King Kong site got the plug pulled, & I’m having trouble finding a good one.

Goggle reveals many mediocre site–no talent there. :frowning:

Help/Links, please?

Depending on what you’re after, IMDB offers choices that google misses.

When is this movie going to be released on DVD?

The official unofficial website for Peter Jackson’s remake is at http://www.kongisking.net/ (there is some info on the original there also)

Brian

Ahem, I think Bosca is asking about the real version, the 1933 one with Fay Wray and with the original Kong (playing himself), not whatever bizarre thing Peter Jackson has up his sleeve.

An invaluable reference site for classic movies is The Greatest Films. It’s great for plot summarys, dialogue samples, scans of old poseters, etc. Here’s their page for King Kong.

Oh, and though I think the 1933 original is perfect, if anyone can do a decent remake it’s Peter Jackson.

Yes.

Bosda is.

In a friendly way.

::: Blush :::
It was an unintended portmanteau, condensing Bosda Di’Chi to Bos-chi and thence to Bosca.

Found One.

But I’m always looking for more!

If you really love King Kong, look for a copy of the book The Making of King Kong, by Orville Goldner and George E. Turner. Or its 2002 revised edition, Spawn of Skull Island.

I’m a big fan of the 1933 version(the only part I liked about the 1970’s version was the “history” of skull island sightings), but I’m curious to see what Jackson does with this.

And I’m particulary interested to see Jack Black play Carl Denhem.

Hey, Eve! He called you old!

Well, older.
