My internet connection has been down for quite a while. I’ve had to go to a library to answer some emails and other urgent internet business, but since the library always limits its users to half an hour, and its connection is so slow, I run out of time before I get to the SDMB. Fortunately, the problem is supposed to be fixed now.

It appears, from reading the original thread, that the invitation was one to pick up a stick and start beating, and was issued by you. Anyone who’s been here for even a year or two and didn’t realize that defending serious physical and emotional child abuse would draw (completely justified) brickbats is not thinking very intelligently.
