Have you considered trying something that does a lot of back strengthening/stretching exercises? I’ve just started (gentle) yoga, and my back has never felt better.
"A baby eating interferes with your hearing? Who’s not reading for comprehension now?
You."
Care to explain how a breastfeeding baby interferes with your hearing? Since I didn’t comment on anything but that…
You heard it wrong.
A baby interferes with her herring.
I hadn’t actually considered that; I’ve heard other people say yoga was very good for their backs, too. I should give it a try.
Dude, come on. I dropped it awhile ago, choosing instead to make some light jokes to get the thread back on topic. No need for you to drag me back into it 2 pages later.
Wait, really? That makes what I said ten times funnier since I had no idea that’s what you do.
Obviously you either couldn’t be bothered to read my original rant or any of the other references to the 70,347,405 tween girls that were in the shop, or you cannot understand what you read.
This just continues to prove that whenever someone posts something that doesn’t agree with one of your pet interests/obsessions/whatever, even if it’s a very minor part of the post, you cannot wait to pounce and act like a complete idiot over it.
Summary - I have a right to be irritated by a herd of obnoxious tweens and a breastfeeding woman who cannot seem to keep it to herself. I also have a right to be of the opinion that breastfeeding in public should not be allowed and that children should not be brought to a coffee house en masse late-ish on a school night. Particularly not when they are essentially unsupervised. Any problem you have with this, you are kindly advised to stick in your left ear.
Good night.
Let’s see…
Baby: Needs to eat. Is in a location where other people are eating.
Mom: Needs to get milk out of her breasts. Almost certainly has the legal right to breastfeed in public.
curlcoat: Needs to… Um… Not… look at… a breast? Or something?
Yeah, I can see how that’s totally an unfair imposition on you. What wonderful rant will we be treated to next week? Will **curlcoat **be offended that someone is inhaling and exhaling in a library? Horrors!
I love you.
[Phil Sebben]Ha ha! Irony.[/Phil Sebben]
And we’re allowed to point out that your opinion, like you, is fucking retarded. Isn’t society neat?
That’s nice. Doesn’t apply to anything I said tho.

Interesting. You can actually read that exchange and not make the connection? You are most definitely not worth debating with.

Another lovely nutshell summary of curly.

I’m sorry. I was really just trying for accuracy, not re-hashing your involvement.
No worries. Apology accepted, glad to be moving on.

Obviously you have a right to hold any or all of those opinions. I have an equal right to think poorly of you for holding at least a couple of them. And on this message board, to tell you why.
The fact that I didn’t specifically address the part of your post dealing with millions of tween kids causes you to assume that I didn’t read that part? I really didn’t think addressing part of it required addressing all of it. Okay, just for you, here goes, are you ready? IF the girls were behaving the way you say they were, I’d be annoyed, too. However, given your general opinions of children, and your oft-expressed opinions of what you’re entitled to in public places, I don’t believe they were. So, rather than say that, I dealt with the rest of what you said and left that alone. But, since you insisted, there you go. Happy now?
I’m not happy. I thought this thread was dead.

I’m not happy. I thought this thread was dead.
Yeah, so did I. Apparently the parenting sorts wish the last word. They can have it.
[del]Um, curlcoat, you realize that by saying that, you’re the one who’s trying to have the last[/del] Nevermind, she’s too fucking stupid to understand it, anyway.
You could just unsubscribe from the topic, you know, Cat. Or report it for a mod to lock since we have a new minirants thread.
That would not fulfill my desire for Bad-Tempered Bitching.
I think we should start a meta mini-rants thread where we can bitch about the mini-rants threads.
OOOooooooh!
