Dear Zoe--you're an idiot, not a detective. Now shut the hell up.

I’m choosing not to remain ignorant, though I suspect I’ll regret it. What are y’all talking about?

Enjoy.

See post 221 for the kick-off to the festivities.

Gods of Earth & Air!

Gods … of… Earth…Air… and FIRE!

Considering that that lee’s kid is probably nearly three years old now, I wonder how well the Disney ban worked out?

Sorry, I’m not going to wade through a ten-page, six-year-old thread. I gather it has something to do with the Dope’s own transexual couple and their reproductive adventures. Where does Zoe come in?

For Ahriman’s sake, man, don’t! Don’t!
SAVE YOURSELF!

Can’t say you weren’t warned.

If I hadn’t sworn off swearing revenge, I’d totally be swearing revenge on everybody involved here.

Y’know, I’d rather spend more quality time with some of my more problematic psychopathic hypchondriacal patients than re-visit a number of threads here at the SDMB. Especially that one.

I’m not ready to make any commentary on the “outing people” thing, but w/regards to the ‘one drop of blood’ thing, it seems pretty clear to me that she took initial objection to the language used, and the image that it conjures up of tests being done to literally discern as much as one drop of blood. Then everyone jumped all over her, “Silly Zoe, that’s obviously hyperbole”, as if she did not realize that.

ANALOGY —someone alleges that the RIAA will come after you for copyright violation if you host even one individual note’s worth of one of their songs for download. This statement becomes so often quoted that the RIAA policy even becomes nicknamed the “One Note Rule” in the popular consciousness. Many decades later, in Great Debates, someone calls bullshit and says “Aww cmon that’s just stupid and irritates the hell out of me, they couldn’t even prove it was one of their songs based on one freaking note!”. So is everyone going to roll their eyes and say “WTF, are you so stupid you actually thought that the One Note Rule meant they would sue for hosting an MP3 of just one freaking note, how dense you are! It’s just CALLED that!”
While I’m at it, what’s with the whole multi-purpose pile-on phenomenon anyway?

“I’m pitting Zoe for going around outing people for allegedly not being who they claim to be IRL”

“Yeah, well she also does this annoying thing”

“Oh cool, let’s get Zoe, you know what ELSE she does?”

You got any new stories to tell?

Lots. The exploding patient, Mr. Marbleboobs, Sanitary oppression, I burning your dog and your place of employment, your wedding must have been boring, etc.

But someone always says I’m violating HIPAA when I relate these things, so I sort of stopped.

Are you-I thought as long as you didn’t mention any names, or whatever, you were in the clear?

Isn’t it SOP that, when someone gets Pitted, everything anyone dislikes about the person gets brought up, no matter how long ago it happened? Also, she didn’t come in here and keep the thread on track, so people’s minds wandered to her many other sterling qualities. After all, how much can we talk about her failed attempts to be the SDMB’s own Nancy Drew? Granted she’s done it numerous times, but not six pages worth.

ETA: It says a lot about how much bad feeling she’s built up here that this thread has gone on this long without much input from her, don’t you think?

Never mind.

Not with Zoe on the job – she’s an expert on ethics, remember.

Dude. What. The. Fuck.

I am still reading this thread. And that other one.

Just saying.

This is not at all what happened and it’s irritating to me that you would interpret the exchange like this. I’ve defended Zoe in the past, but her behavior in that thread was totally insane and unexcusable. What happened was she wanted to pick a fight over a trivial tangential topic because a couple of Dopers had pissed her off in a previous thread, and when the fight finally came she punked out while loudly and repeatedly claiming victimhood.

What sucked was that people, primed to giving out sympathy to melodramatic Southern matriach-types, rushed to her defense without even appreciating what happened.

Well, I don’t like pile-on threads myself, but sometimes a person has a number of irritating traits that aren’t pit-worthy all on their own. And maybe the detective stuff doesn’t piss a person off as much as the flying off the handle, self-victimization stuff.

Of course I’m not violating confidentiality, or HIPAA.

But different people frequently say I am.

It’s better to not discuss it than get a bad reputation, even if the reputation is not deserved. At least as regards the realm of medical ethics, which is very important to me.
