Jean Carson, One of my favorite kazoo-voiced broads just died:

Actress Jean Carson died at age 80. Ms. Carson appeared in nearly 50 films and TV shows. She may be best remembered for her numerous appearances on “The Andy Griffith Show.” Ms. Carson played Daphne, the girl from Mt. Pilate who helped Barney through a period of heartbreak. Sci-fi fans may remember Ms. Carson for her role in the classic “I Married a Monster From Outer Space.” Her film credits include the Blake Edwards’ films “Gunn” and “The Party.” She appeared in the 1959 adaptation of Faulkner’s “The Sound and the Fury.” Other credits include the original version of “Fun With Dick and Jane,” “Warning Shot,” “Gomer Pyle, U.S.M.C.,” “Perry Mason,” “The Untouchables,” “Studio One” and “The Twilight Zone.”

Probably best known for the moll she played in the Twilight Zone episode “A Most Unusual Camera.” Heaven has gained a very brassy angel . . .
