Nobody can prove that!
From carnivourousplant’s link:
Mars is amazing!
I just got happiness shivers. That’s perfect.
:smack:
I can’t believe I didn’t get that. Do I have to turn in my Calvin & Hobbes fan club card?
That’s what I get for not scrolling all the way down. Besides, I had something in my eye, and everything was a little misty.
I am honestly taken aback by how much my tiny and cold heart was warmed by that strip. Thanks so much for sharing.
Wow. We do miss them, don’t we?
Thanks in no small part to Watterson wrapping it up when he did, C&H will be terrific forever.
Time to dig out all the books and read them yet again.
Thanks for that.
Calvin lives!
[sub]at least in this old brain he does[/sub]
Yes.
Hmph.
I bet you rooted for Mrs. Wormwood.
I hate to be this kind of jack ass, but I have to admit that while I appreciate the linked grown up Calvin strip, I kind of feel like Watterson’s magic is so unique that when others try to honor it, they miss it by thismuch and it is probably better to allow him to own the right to end his strip the way he did.
But seriously, the Bacon one is cute.
Well said, Ma’am.
…and yet. No, no, I keed. These are jokes!
Sigh, so much ignorance so little time. I thought everyone knew that Calvin grew up and became a triathlete janitor.
And everyone knows what the true live-action sequel to the Calvin and Hobbes comic strip is. Calvin’s old stuffed animal may be all worn out, but his imaginary friend is still leading him through all sorts of zany hijinks.
Calvinball, Project Mayhem – same thing really.
I still don’t get the kid’s name. Can someone explain?
ETA: Never mind. Francis Bacon. Just hit me.
Francis Bacon was a philosopher as were John Calvin And Thomas Hobbes.
