Death Threats

I am tiptoeing into this thread because I’m not a Regular and therefore I won’t participate in this discussion except to ask everyone who used the word REGULAR: What is the definition of regular…# of posts? Months of membership on the SDMB? No, I’d just as soon stay a newbie. I’m only curious.

I maintain my regularity with bran flakes every morning.

Instant oatmeal for me Doc. Or oatmeal stout if I don’t want a hot breakfast.

That it is unwise to be heedless ourselves while we are giving advice to others, I will show in a few lines.

Skel, at 144 posts in 52 days, I’d say that you are participating “regularly” and that pretty much makes you a “reg.” (Of course, if 74 of those posts happened over the last two days, that might indicate a sudden interest, rather than regular participation.)

Back on AOL, we had a couple of folks who always complained about the Evil R.E.G.s, but they posted so often that they were, indeed, regular posters. (One actually held some records for the number of submissions by any posters for a while.)

There is no “rule” on becoming a member of the Evil R.E.G.s. If you show up often enough to be recognized, you are one.

Tom~

Alright, alright, I admit it.

I sent the following death threat:

I think it was that last part.

I never should have sent that, and I apologize wholeheartedly. It was a rank example of tolerance and a shoddy testimony to the personal integrity I’ve attempted to mine from the detritus of society’s misshapen mores. I throw myself upon the mercy of the court. What was I thinking?

Now if I could just remember who I sent it to…
