This is pretty vague, but a few months ago, I heard an interview with the author on the radio. He seemed on the ball. It must be said, though, that I agree with his premise in general.

I have bitched about the push it gave for teams to have a schedule full of cupcakes. It sucks. Wins are overweighted . That is why Boise will be number one. They play high schools and stickball academies. They will slowly sink as the schedule lack of difficulty lowers their numbers. Then they will bitch because they get little respect. The formulae are flawed.
Boise is a very good team. I wish they could get a tougher schedule.
