Remember, all of the following should be taken in the light of the fact that I will turn up Town when lynched. This analysis is not for toDay, it’s for toMorrow. So, without further ado:

Candidate 2: Normal Phase
This one is not as easy to prove as Red Skeezix, and in fact I cannot prove anything. But as the person who knows he is Town and has been the victim of Normal’s campaign, it’s very easy for me to see how her campaign against me has been based on absolutely nothing. I am hopeful that, upon review and knowing I am Town, it will become clearer to you what she’s done. Her posting has been prolific, so I do not have the time to track down everything, but I will give you some examples.
Here is the post where she first begins her campaign on me. I made a toss off, minor comment about how the fact that we didn’t get a full reveal on Scathach was a bummer, and she jumps all over it, voting me immediately. Note: From this point on, just about every single thing I say/do is read by Normal as scummy. Examples:
Day Two, I made a case against and voted for Silver Jan. After that, ed and others made a case and started voting for Pizza Guy. I made a comment that I found that case increasingly convincing (having previously stated that I was leaning Town on Pizza). Normal immediately comes back with this post, stating: “Isn’t that interesting. No vote, either.” So she finds me suspicious for commenting on Pizza but not voting. Sadly, however, she had previously said:
If someone makes a case on A and you agree that it is a good one, you don’t HAVE TO vote that person, particularly right away. You can look for other candidates, to see if they tempt you to more or less the same extent. And if you find a candidate B who does, then you have the option of voting that person instead, so potentially you have pressure on two suspicious people, instead of just one. It’s not a question of being dishonest; it’s a question of playing smart, really.
Note how it’s fine in the general, but not if I do it.
Next she creates a review of my posts to date to find the scummy motivation behind everything I do. ** I strongly recommend you go back and read this post!** You will know when you do that all the “reads” she has of my scumminess here are invented.
Next we have her infamous (in my mind, anyway) post where she accuses me of “constantly disavowing your first [vote] even as you place it.” We went back and forth over this at the time, and whether or not you think it is a lie, it is at the very least a large overstatement. Like everything else she wants to hold against me, she has to make shit up and/or blow things out of proportion to make me look bad.
OK, I’m afraid that’s all I have time for, but there is definitely more. The main takeaway is that Normal has hounded me for days based on completely made up crap that you will know is completely made up when I flip. My flip is going to be bad for her, so I am sure she is going to try to argue that I was “acting scummy” all this time and that she’s just a townie who got a bad read. I don’t think that’s true. Am I 100% convinced she is scum? No. It’s hard not to feel some OMGUS when someone does this to you, but I am 80% convinced, and I think that’s good enough for mafia.
PS. I think someone should also take another look at the end of Day 3 when Texcat was lynched. I can’t go back and look at the sequence right now, but Normal started that Texcat case, and I think there is a decent chance that Texcat’s lynch was designed to save septimus if the case against me did not get enough traction. It’s worth a look.
