“I’m not dead yet”
“You will be soon, you totally have -5 hit points!”
“I’m getting better!”
Should this have been called “0 to -10 Hit Points”? I can’t remember if 0 HP means the player is conscious or not.
Probably depends on edition. IIRC in 3.x you were still conscious but disabled and basically couldn’t take any action, but did not start to lose HP every round.
In 3.x at 0 you could do nothing but take a move-equivalent action per round and remain conscious, standing, and at 0.
If you took a partial action instead, you would instantly drop to -1 and bleeding.
Full round actions were right out.
I believe you could also willingly choose to go unconscious and stable at 0 if you wanted, though I’m not sure if that was an official rule. It makes sense given the other options, though. (Since faking uncosciousness, required a bluff opposed by sense motive, I can’t see why there wouldn’t have been a mechanic for going uncoscious when you’re taking all your will just to stand.)
Put me on the sub list please
I now know why I had to drop out.
I’m epic, and thus bust the level cap.
Maybe if my simulacrum’s simulacrum made a simulacrum…
I shall be watching the game between setting up kobold tribes and general plotting.
Um, not sure I would’ve said this… even in jest.
Hmmm, I thought I had read somewhere that Vanilla Town cannot get XP/Level up, but now I can’t find where that might have been said.
Post [post=13995389]26[/post].
So it is… and it was **Romanic **that posed the question in the first place. He’s probably fishing for something. I’ve only played Evil Dead II with him when he got outted as the Truck Driver or something on Day 1 and left the game in his Truck to avoid a sure lynch.
I remember the Hitch-hiker (that was the role - he hitched out in a large truck.)
He’s played several times since - the last I know of was as the Killer Rabbit (on Idle’s board) in Holy Grail Mafia. He’s fairly good.
I didn’t read that post with nefarious intent though.
Yeah, I think Romanic knows what he is doing.
Right now he is one of three people that I have on my probable town list. Choie and Pede are the other two. The townie thing came up in a way that I think is organic for a new player and Pede is exactly the type of town player that would jump all over that.
I didn’t read it as nefarious, I read it as a Power Role tell. A vanilla Townie wouldn’t care about a levelling cap. Unless, he’s done it intentionally to draw Scum fire to himself. WIFOM indeed.
Put me on the sub list as well, please.
Also, I gotta say–I really, really desperately hate the town strategy of “I’m going to make magic-bag comments so scum THINK I’m a power role.”
Why the sudden popularity in vote-based hammer mechanisms? It gives an excuse for players not to participate.
Zeriel, can you define what you mean by “magic bag”, because the way you’re using it doesn’t seem to match how I’d use it. For me, a magic bag is a promise of an unknown power or information, to be revealed in the future. For example, “I saw Cecil do something last Night; I’ll tell you after the lynch”.
Is it me, or do a few players think that once they place their second vote, they are locked in? We have stated that the votes only are locked in if they are on the same person, but I’m not sure if everyone gets that.
I think everybody thinks that now. I’m hoping someone notices and thinks to ask us to clarify. Your post on the subject could not have been more clear.
"Yes, but if you place two votes on one person, you can not unvote them. That is what Astral mean by “simultaneous votes.”
Damn, I missed the sign-up for this game. Guess watching along is good, too. Put me on the sub list too, please.
