De'endee Mafia

Ok, on phone so this will be short. I just voted shadowfacts for two reasons, one, didn’t like the last minute vote swings, so wanted it to go back to how it was an hour ago. Second, while I believe they are both town, Shadow has used up most of his powers, so will be the lesser loss.

Shadow- what do we do if you both flip townie?

So, do you actually think Shadow is guilty? Or is he just the least objectionable alternative?

And 39 minutes before EoD is “last minute”…but 14 minutes isn’t?

Cry in our beer?

I have no idea. I don’t believe that is remotely possible. I’ve given you my thoughts on everyone. Please take my dying thoughts into consideration as coming from someone who sincerely wants Town to win.

Pfft. Speak for yourself. I’ll be crying in a gin and tonic, thank you.

They’re essentially the same. At least this isn’t literally last minute like septimus.

I’ve always wanted to like gin and tonic…such a respectable drink. But I just can’t bear the flavor of gin. Any suggestions?

Meanwhile, I’ll be perfectly happy with a single malt, neat, thanks.

Final, final thoughts:

DO NOT let anyone get away with “but he was acting sooo scummy I had to vote for him” as an excuse. I haven’t done a single damn scummy thing this entire game, as you are about to see.

GO TOWN!

Yeah, I think you know we’re going to be hitting Red tonight with everything we have, unfortunately, and lynching him the next day if he doesn’t murder a scumbag and is still alive.

Relax guy. Take a dirt nap.

Day has now ended. No further votes will be counted.

You’re not forgetting the lime are you? Otherwise, sloe gin and 7-up make a delicious fake Sloe Gin Fizz.

ShadowFacts was dragged forward.

“You’re making a huge mistake.”

“You stole Special Ed’s powers.” The barbarian said. “Admit it.”

“Well, yeah! But that don’t mean I killed him!”

The mayor pulled the barbarian aside. “Are you sure you’re making the right decision? If he’s telling the truth, we could use someone with his abilities.”

“So could the Lords of Slaughter.” The barbarian turned to the waiting adventurers clustered defensively around ShadowFacts. “Take him to the center of town.”

“So what if I look a little shifty?” ShadowFacts screamed. “So what if I’m more comfortable in the shadows? Doesn’t make me a murderer! Doesn’t make me a Lord of Slaughter!”

“Why else would you be skulking around at night?”

“If the Lords of Slaughter are out at night, we need to be hunting them then too! It just makes sense!”

The barbarian scowled. “I’ve heard enough. You ain’t one of us. You’re a Lord in disguise. Kill him.”

ShadowFacts sighed. “You’ve left me no choice.”

He ducked away, his hands suddenly untied, the rope fluttering down behind him. He moved quick, his footing steady, as he weaved between the adventurers trying to stop him. His defense was careful, but assured, shoving, punching, always finding an opening. As he neared the edge of town, he suddenly shuddered. He looked down, an arrow protruding from his chest. He stared at in shock, his hands trying desperately to pull it out. Another arrow found home, and ShadowFacts collapsed in the dust.

As they investigated his body, one thing was made clear. ShadowFacts was not a Lord of Slaughter. Also, unbelievably, ShadowFacts had two of Special Ed’s arcane books. Handwritten notes, clearly in ShadowFacts’ style, are scrawled in the margins. He had been teaching himself the art of mysticism.

ShadowFacts, a Rogue and one of the Defenders of De’endee, has been killed. ShadowFact’s mental agility allowed him to quickly pick up on the abilities of others.

“Welp, that’s unfortunate. What do y’all make of that?”

“I don’t rightly know. We got anybody what might be able to shed some light on this?”

“Shed some… LIGHT? That’s it! Let’s ask that LightFoot gal! She’s pretty smart. Where’s she at?”

After a brief search, they found her. Sadly, she was in no condition to answer any questions.

LightFoot, a Psionic and one of the Defenders of De’endee, has been killed. LightFoot’s incredible psychic powers allowed her to stretch out and analyze the thoughts of others. Night has now fallen, and will last until August 13th at 6 pm central time.

A day kill? Why didn’t that show up earlier?

Lime? See, now it’s getting complicated. I think I’ll just stick with by Scotch. A good thing about drinking straight whisky is that there’s no way for a bartender to skimp on the alcohol when he’s mixing your drink.

Well, I’ll be

…thud…

Presumably, all day actions resolve at Nightfall, just as all Night actions resolve at Daybreak.

The bigger question is: why didn’t this happen 4 days ago?

Spoiler access, please!

Great game, everyone. See you next time!

Again, I think we need a mass claim. I’d especially like some of the quieter folks to step up and share their info.

Yes, that’s is what I meant. Why didn’t it happen earlier in the game? If scum have been sitting on a day kill, why would they wait to use it until now?
