In one game, I, as godfather of a recruiting-mafia team, recruited ATPG. ATPG began as a neutral role, as Lover with a certain townie. Though he was recruitable by me, he was not loyal, so after doing my team the huge favor of keeping our chances alive at the expenses of sizable numbers of town and cult, stabbed us in the back at endgame to win with his snugglebunny. It’s still just a mite tad bit painful, heh.

And I had every intention of beating the town’s weakling butts and handing you all victory on a silver platter, with a basket full of cultist heads and Link’s heart on a pike. We had the numbers required for victory, and I was technically a scumbag, so I felt you should have won with me. But I was also a Lover, and the goal was just me and just Diana, so unfortunately I had to drive over my best friends’ bodies to get to the finish line.

If only someone had bothered to target Diana, it could have been a pure mafia win. But since she was still alive, my heart belonged to her, and it still does.

Hey. While I’d like to do something more “cooperative” in terms of analysis, I did once ask you who your top 4 suspects were and never got a response.

I’d like for you to please now list for me everyone in the game who is still alive, in descending order of scummy-ness, in your opinion. If you would be so kind?

If I can get that response from you (preferably with reasons why) then if you still have time I’d like to examine the septimus/skeezix interactions and the likely gambits they’ve played.

But I was just reviewing USCDiver. I noticed he placed a vote on Day 3 that put septimus into the lynch lead over ShadowFacts at the time. Also, when Shadow announced his block on Day 4, he voted Red. So, I do not really think Diver is scum.

I am about to look at some others. I will say that I don’t think you or Normal are scum since she stayed on the Red wagon even when you gave her an opening to get off it.

I need to look at the others. I want to look at Weedy since I know she voted TexCat on Day 3 over septimus at what I think was a critical time.

Anyway, I am trying to get caught up.

I have not rendered what may be my final opinion on anyone just yet; I prefer to take an in-depth look at the game over the next 7-8 hours. (Yes, this is how I play… I spend a lot of time looking at the thread whenever new solid data arrives… a LOT of time. Let’s see if it does any good.)

Presently, my alarms are going off that Red Skeezix’ move was an attempt to throw suspicion ONTO some people, or OFF of someone(s).

Either his move was an attempt to make choie survive, discredit me so Hirka or Diver have a better shot at life, or it was because he was trying to make the folks who had been on his side at times look worse.

The last one won’t work, because it would seem that the scums would be on the same page. I agree with a previous comment that it could have been done to make gnarly look bad.

Why would the scums try to save Skeezix as he busses himself? No, the folks who had been solidly against Red look worse than those who were interested in sparing him I think.

I do agree with gnarly that it could have been a move to spare choie. Red’s move seemed calculated to throw us off once we knew he was scum for sure. Or, WIFOM says it was done to make us think he was throwing us off, which is brilliant, but I prefer the first option. Methinks he was sparing choie or making folks on the choie wagon look bad, or both.

I rather think Hirka is scummier than gnarly at the present time.

Please do so at your earliest convenience during the day phase; I would prefer everyone do this, actually.

Knowing who is willing to vote for whom makes things a bit clearer. If folks back down from that during a critical moment it looks scummy.

As such, it almost forces scumbags to bus one another or obviously disagree with voting each other. It clarifies things and handicaps the mafia. Everyone should participate in the “rank everyone by scumminess” poll, that is absolutely pro-town.

Because IMO he wasn’t bussing himself. He was pulling a calculated, risky, hail-mary move to prove he was a remorseful vigilante. And by God, it nearly worked, didn’t it? I mean, on you, and Inner Stickler, and possibly gnarlycharlie if the latter isn’t scum. It briefly tempted Normal (through your advocacy). Hell, I was wavering too because this was the first I’d even heard of a remorseful vig, and I had to mull over the ramifications to see if this were possible.

I think – with respect – something in you is refusing to give up the idea that I’m a savvy scumbag, and it may be because that’s the way to prove your previous theories correct. But I swear to God, pizza, I’m not, and if you were kicking yourself yesterday, you’re gonna do it even more if you keep going down this road.

Please look at my voting record for the past few Days. Look whom I’ve been advocating for. ShadowFacts. Suburban Plankton. Inner Stickler. All of whom turned out to be townies. Look who I wanted dead since the ShadowFacts bandwagon started on Day 4 – Red Skeezix.

My first votes sucked, I’ll gladly acknowledge that, but for the past three weeks I’ve been on target. And believe me, that ain’t easy for me to say – it goes against my naturally insecure, self-doubting nature.

For the past three Days I’ve been voting and advocating as pro-town as you can get, fer criminy’s sakes – aside from my stupid personal attacks on you, which I’ve explained were out of frustration and ignorance. Other than that, my judgment has been correct and helpful to Town. I don’t even know how it’s working out that way; I feel like an idiot savant, or (to be more charitable to myself) like Lisa Simpson when she was somehow intuitively able to pick the correct winning football teams despite not fully understanding the game.

But for whatever reason lately I’m on a roll and I have been trying to help town go in the right direction. Please, please, divest yourself of the idea that I’m an evil genius. I almost wish it were true, it’s a lot more badass than what I am, which is someone stumbling around and almost accidentally hitting the right switches. If anyone is the evil genius it’s Red Skeezix, who pulled a ballsy move out at the last minute to prove himself a remorseful vig and thereby push the votes away from him.

I know you shouldn’t trust anyone 100% by their votes. We townies have to be paranoid, I get that, I really do. But when someone is trying to help and is actually proving to be right about some things, I think some benefit of the doubt should start to kick in, doesn’t it?

I beg you, throw out the past storyline that starred me as the conniving Livia to Red Skeezix’s Augustus. It won’t play in Peoria. Seriously, you mentioned earlier that you almost hoped I was scum because it would make you feel better. I gently suggest that you’re still working on that assumption, and it’s clouding your mind. Throw out the old script and re-read all my votes and try to imagine that I’m exactly what I say I am. I think you’ll find the truth is there in black and white. If not, of course, continue to vote for me when the light of Dawn comes up if we’re both still here. You have to do what you think best, that’s always the case. But with the best interest of Town at heart, I tell you that your efforts are being wasted on me, because I’m as boring vanilla a townie as you can get.

I am almost certain you’re an evil genius. The question is whether you got the scum choie card or the town choie card. But I disagree with your assessment that he was trying to self-save. To me, it’s obvious there was something else at work. That was not the way to defend oneself.

I was damned near certain he was innocent, and his move made me go into the question mark zone, and I had to convince myself to keep backing him, and I wasn’t that convinced. I still advocated for him, but I also advised people to make up their own mind because I suddenly got very uncertain.

I can easily imagine this, but I can easily imagine the opposite.

I’d recommend, if you want my support, that you focus once more on the suspect list and give me your top picks for scum. You’ve already done so earlier, but perhaps more detail on why they need to die would be helpful?

Commentary on above vote tallies:

With the death of Red Skeezix, it’s more than likely that there’s at most 2 Lords of Slaughter remaining. As such, even if I were right on 2 of choie, Diver, Hirka, I am definitely wrong on at least one of them. That person should bear with me as I explain the case against each person. Discount the case against yourself, and look at the case against the others.

Hirka T’Bawa/Koldanar

[li]choie and Diver both place votes on Jan and Kelly, which didn’t affect who died between Jan and Kelly, but did make it so that **Koldanar **wouldn’t die.[/li][li]**Koldanar **votes for **Pizza *along with septimus. Was I that annoying to the scums already? I had voted for Red Skeezix and I also said I’d vote for septimus, and I also voted for Koldanar. If he’s guilty, that’s freaking 3/4 on day one, you know.*[/li][li]No votes on Red Skeezix or septimus.[/li][/ul]
**Day Two-

[li]**Hirka **double votes ShadowFacts. Interestingly, handicaps him, makes him unable to spare septimus, and he does this seemingly intentionally. It would seem that **septimus **felt confident he could save himself. Still, this is the weakest part of the case against Hirka, and could serve as evidence in his favor.[/li][li]No votes on Red Skeezix or septimus.[/li][/ul]
Day Three-

Hirka T’Bawa is one of the few unknowns who both hopped back and forth on **Red **and onto ShadowFacts, settled on ShadowFacts, and settled on **ShadowFacts **late in the round to help decide the round.[/li][li]Hirka is most directly responsible for saving Red Skeezix’ life this round, and his shifting votes are very incriminating.[/li][/ul]
Day Six-

[li]The decision is made to bus Red Skeezix, seeing as he is so much dead meat anyway. Only stupid **Pizzaguy **gives **Red **any shot at life, and incredibly, Red Skeezix DOESN’T WANT ANY OF IT.[/li][li]**Hirka **went from voting **Pizzaguy **day one, to locking **ShadowFacts **day two even though there was no chance Shadow would die, to voting **septimus **and then **unvoting **and **voting **for **ShadowFacts **to save septimus, to **locking Red Skeezix when it was between guilty septimus **and guilty Red Skeezix, to **locking ShadowFacts **to spare Red Skeezix, to voting MentalGuy, then choie, and then Finally, **Red Skeezix **after it had already been decided.[/li][/ul]

I can’t follow the thought process, and this looks beyond scummy to me.

There are some indications that **choie **knew that Red and septimus were guilty, but didn’t want to vote for them unless she got townie credit for it. Some indications that choie could be scum with Hirka T’Bawa as well. Seemed really annoyed at Pizza, then changed her attitude after Red flipped. Coincidence? Arguing that septimus’ move wasn’t scummy while also knowing why it could have looked scummy. Activity took a hit after she was accused. Didn’t decide lynches between scumbags. Behavior still seems weird to me, specifically with the “duality” I mentioned. Looks like the scumbags really didn’t want choie lynched this round. Really really.

Willing to give benefit of the doubt for now, but I wouldn’t let her survive the game if I were you.
