I’m here. I’ve been working all day. I was following pretty closely through yesterday afternoon and will do a little catch up as quickly as I can. Hopefully I can get through enough to make an intelligent vote before Dusk.

Holy cow… Just got home from work and trying to quickly read through today before I go to dinner since the Day will end before I get back. I see I was also mistaken about the Double Vote mechanic and didn’t realize it will only lock in if your votes are for the same player. That DOES change things a lot and I see that I’m not the only one who thought that.

I was also initially pinged by **Romanic’s **first post confirming. When he said “working on a mod to change it” I thought he was referencing the game’s moderators (as in he was trying to get Astral to change that rule or something) and not a game mod. I got that it was a joke, but I interpreted it to be a joke about him being upset that he wouldn’t be able to level up past 5 which would indicate a power role (or possibly scum).

**askthepizzaguy **was confusing the hell out of me at first too, but I see where he’s coming from now. And although I’m not convinced he’s town, I believe he’s playing within his own pre-established methods.

**Kelly’s ** bungled attempt at a handshake will lead me to join the others of you with a

At worst this is an attempt to identify other Vanilla Townies which we’ve seen before can be disastrous for Power Roles. Especially when the Mods have specifically said they have attempted to nullify the possibility of a successful handshake.

And lastly, poor **SilverJan **. I have a hard time keeping track of her votes, unvotes, reasons, unreasons and mitigating side notes. I have a suspicion that this is a nervous first time Scum who wants to appear helpful to the town, but is doing too much. The role PM she posted doesn’t help matters much either. So since I won’t be back before Dusk:

I wasn’t trying to make a difference in the eventual lynch, I was placing my votes on the two players I found most suspicious based on cases made by others and their reactions to same. I was reading through the thread as quickly as I could while maintaining some level of comprehension so I certainly didn’t have the opportunity to go through everything with a fine toothed comb myself.

Wait, what? Why would scum be wondering about their kill if they didn’t do what? Either it’s their kill and they know it, or it was not their kill and they know it. Scum certainly know who they targeted for lynch. Whether that was Scathach or not remains to be seen. Certainly possible they got blocked and a third party and/or vigilante’s kill made it through. I’m not making any assumptions at this point other than to keep all possibilities in mind.

Did you read Skeezix’s post, ShadowFacts, or just the punchline? Because here’s pretty much all of it. All of the underlined parts are where he is calling you out for acting like scum (in one case only potentially, in the other cases without qualification). He unvotes you because he says Silver Jan is scummier and you’re not scum together.

You yourself don’t think that Silver Jan is town. Care to put two and two together there? If SJ flips town, all of Skeezix’ observations come right back. He is not contradicting me.

A quick break in the review, just to jot down my thoughts.

You spent enough of day 1 thinking that pizza was town that you felt the need to distance yourself from that position today.

You say you think Kelly is leaning town at one point, but keep your vote on him anyways.

You try to take both sides on whether Lightfoot should reveal results. I see some possiblities for this:
Lightfoot may not understand implications, so you are trying to encourage good play.

You are trying to defuse your own attempt to change Lightfoot’s mind.

Side note: Personally, I am of the opinion that Lightfoot should reveal results on the outside chance that Lightfoot is scum, and gets caught in a lie. Posting results at end of night seems to alleviate this. Especially since I believe there to be third parties in this game. In a game with no third parties, it’s possible for scum to claim cop, and give truthful results. It’s much harder if there’s third parties floating around. I do however, think that Lightfoot’s claim is unlikely if Lightfoot is scum, since it would be a very risky play indeed.

You have made a couple of posts which the entire point seems to be to make yourself look more like town directly (as opposed to indirectly, by simply doing townie things). You have gone far enough to imply that both doing what you suggest is pro-town, and suggesting what you suggested is also pro-town.

As for bald-faced lies:

I’m trying to figure out if this is new player adjusting to the game or nervous scum flitting about trying to land a vote somewhere without taking heat for it (or both). (The vote on Normal Phase for NP saying SJ “pinged” her seems particularly high-strung, later retraction aside). It’s not good Town play, that I am certain of. Since this is not her first game, I am not inclined to give her a newbie pass. Let’s see where this takes us:

“not much of a case”, “prod a reponse”. The larger offender, particularly for when in the day it came. What pressure is pedescribe even going to get from this? He’ll never by lynched today. The vote comes off as just posing, particularly as you don’t even have a stake in anyone else at all right now.

That’s two out of four, and both of your “original” votes (the one on Kelly was a reiteration of part of my own case; and the second one on Silver Jan in part a repetition of your case) that you qualify in some sense.

And speaking of bald-faced lies, I had to love the comments about me just lockign in until lynch and not re-evaluating my opinion as events change. I’ve gone from scummy to probably not scum and back again on Septimus, from scummy to probable town on Silver Jan, and had a vote on gnarlycharlie at one point today.

You’re not getting lynched today. If you want to get me off your back tomorrow (scum and vigs and wrath of god willing), then convince me you’re really hunting scum and not just trying to look like you are. I won’t get in your way.

Today has been unexpectedly busy for me and I’ve basically run out of time. (It’s getting late here now.) I was hoping to review septimus, but I’m not going to manage that now - or go over the new Shadow/Normal cases. So I’m going to leave my vote where it is, which is a bit lame but to move it now would just be going off half-cocked.

I disagree on Jan; I’m convinced by reading her posts that she’s not a good lynch.

I’d make a good default lynch today, so would Jan, due to our suspicion levels and we’ve both claimed NPC. I’m not guilty however, so of the two, Jan would technically be better. If you could resist the overpowering urge to push the shiny candy-like lynch pizza button later on in the game, which I very much doubt.

I’d love to see septimus die, even if all it does is allow me to move on to other suspects. For as long as he’s alive and being quiet, I’m not going to let go of him. I’d have to see more of him to reverse my opinion and that’s not happening.

I don’t have an opinion on special ed as of yet, however I don’t see much to the case on him, from what I’ve read of it. That said, an unknown quantity lynch is okay, provided we don’t hit a power role.

Trouble is, I find septimus scummy, and so does special ed. I’m inclined to believe only one of them will be guilty, if any.

I like how Normal phase plays and I like what she’s doing. I have no case against her at this time. I also dislike each of the votes placed on her.

I dislike ShadowFacts (not him personally, but I think he’s on the wrong track entirely and is worthy of a lynch) and I would not weep at his death.

I like Diver as another alternate lynch. Not strong on him though.

pedescribe: whatever. I’ve seen that reaction from townies, but I’ll be the last person to cry if he dies.

I think I was wrong on Koldanar and I wouldn’t advocate a lynch of his replacement. Metagamey reasons, I don’t think the scums would abandon the game if they could help it at all, because they have partners who could presumably cover for them. I dunno. Besides it was an early case on Koldanar, and by sheer odds alone those are usually wrong.

If I have something positive to say about Shadowfacts is that even though he ignored the bulk of my case against him he seemed to go right back to work accusing people and discussing with others.

I was just wondering about Askthepizzaguys really long post on defending Kelly. I know he was asked what his opinion was but he seemed to go into an awful lot of detail in defending her/him.

I was about to vote for Kelly because 20 minutes after receiving a vote s/he asked about handshakes. If that had been me I would have jumped up and down defending myself (check the Giraffe boards, I was in tears cos I was called scum{silly too})

I wonder if **ATPG **is just being contraversial.

I know it’s not going to be seen as a good vote, sorry about your teeth Normal but I really haven’t got a scummy vibe from anyone and I do want to live and I am Vanilla Town with no Power.

And to recap: Silver Jan spent all of day 1 Fluffing, making Biographical references, and Stating that she is town.

She avoided actually addressing any of the points raised against her when she was casting OMGUS votes.

The most action she did was retreat from positions, seemingly in attempts to avoid addressing the issues with the cases she was making. I

The only real attempt at a case she made was Romanic, which was easily negated by previous moderator comments.

So yeah, I’m pretty convinced Silver Jan is scum. But I’ve run out of time.
