De'endee Mafia

Paranoid doc- your best bet is probably protecting Lightfoot.

If you don’t, for any reason, cover myself. Red Skeezix needs a free hand to murder, blocking me does nothing.

Regular doc- ONLY protect Lightfoot. I’ll eat the murder.

OMG whew.

I’ll be back in the morning. thud

From what I can tell this was the gist of your case:

I guess when I responded in #1280, I thought that it would be considered a reply to you too since it was that case which Plankton was referring to.

FWIW, investigate me tonight, that should assuage your fears.

If you’re going to do anything to Diver, it should be a block not a scan.

Scan pedescribe, block Diver.

I am not even sure you should block Diver.

How about block choie?

Winnie the Pooh: “Think, think think think think…”

Hmm. I am liking this *not using our powers on the main suspects *idea.

We gain further info by blocking and scanning folks like pedescribe and choie, as in order for the Lords Of Slaughter to hide more effectively, they need middle-of-the-trustworthy-road people like Diver, choie, and pedescribe around as cover.

Remove choie, pedescribe, and Diver as cover, but without killing them. Force the Lords of Slaughter to kill them, because if they don’t, these folks won’t be suspects and they’ll be still alive.

We already have reasons enough to blind lynch Weedy/Suburban and some others. It’s unlikely a block will change our minds on those. That leaves scan, which we’re having trouble doing, or assassination, which is the same thing as a lynch.

So, let that be their fate, unless we get a better lead from the people who are taking up space and providing cover for the Lords to hide in. You may yet block or scan a Lord in the process, or force the Lords to attack their own cover.

As it stands, we’ve got one. There’s probably 3 remaining. I would wager only 1 or 2 were on the septimus spare-wagon, or the septimus bus-wagon. There’s going to be one keeping his or her head out of it. There’s going to be distance. They need a hail mary pass to win the game now.

As such, deny the hail mary… go deep into the backfield with someone who can intercept the hail mary or mess up the catch. Get data on choie, pedescribe, and others. Don’t kill, gather data.

After some thinking, here’s my revised suggested plan of action:
[ul]
[li]Block choie[/li][li]Scan pedescribe[/li][li]Leave diver and others alone for this round. Possible scan later on.[/li][li]Assassinate **Weedy **or Suburban Plankton[/li][li]Lynch **Weedy **or Suburban Plankton[/li][li]Protect Lightfoot, or[/li][li]Paranoid Protec/Block Lightfoot, or use it on **ATPG **if you want to take a big gamble. But I don’t advise.[/li][/ul]
I like this plan better than blocking/scanning etc Weedy and Suburban. If they’re innocent it just wastes our time. If they’re guilty, they’re gone anyway.

Let’s start working on the folks we DON’T have leads or information on.

**pedescribe **has a thing about players who are not participating and essentially given a pass. IIRC the last game he played in he tried to make an example out of it by signing up and not making a single game related post. Unfortunately, he was assigned a Mason role and never communicated with the other Mason and never posted to confirm his claim. I think the Mod in that game sent him a PM reminding him about the game to which he replied that he was playing and had been reading along confirming that he hadn’t forgotten about the game.

So make of that what you will…

Also, can someone now explain to me in very simple terms, preferably less than 10 lines, how **septimus **being scum makes it less likely that **RedSkeezix **is scum?

Well…

Technically, the odds are now lower, because there’s only 2-3 remaining instead of 3-4. Therefore Red Skeezix is less likely to be scum because of that. But then again, so is everyone.

We could tell Red Skeezix not to murder anyone; or we could ask him to murder pedescribe, which is a nonessential target for the Lords of Slaughter, and no loss to us as a townie since he’s not voting. If Red doesn’t do it, we lynch him. If we tell Red not to murder anyone, that’s hard to verify. You’d have to block him.

I’m giving Red a benefit of the doubt for a round. If he’s not murdered tonight, then he’s got one more shot tonight to hit a scum, one more chance to hit a scum tomorrow via the lynch, and one final chance tomorrow night; if he fails on all three tries, then he’s an okay lynch the round afterward.

Hopefully we could just scan him or use the paranoid doctor to block him at that point. I really sense Red is townie, and the scums knew he was in the game as a vigilante assassin, and they made a dumb move by revealing that they knew he was in the game.

If this is a bussing Red attempt, or a distancing Red from septimus attempt, we’ll clear or destroy Red in short order.

[del]I know that’s more than 2 lines but is that satisfactory?[/del] Oh snap you said 10 and I’m within the limit.

But you can here… I don’t get it

I get it. The game host wants to make sure that the message being anonymous limits its effectiveness as a pro-town network forming device.

In order to know if you can trust this person, they’d have to also claim publicly, putting them at risk. The power exists and is somewhat useful but is still nerfed.

Weedy, Stickler, Suburban-

You’re in my main line of fire for reasons I’m sure you’re aware of.

If you’re townie, I have a task for you so you don’t feel like your voice is being drowned out and you’re nothing but a waste of a kill:

Please examine the others I am accusing strongly. Find reasons why you deserve to live and they do not. Or, help me out… tell me why they do deserve to live.

Help make this next lynch or assassination also not an incorrect one. Help narrow the focus.

FWI
Night 2 and 3 I scanned 2 different players and was blocked both times (I don’t think I’d mentioned that before) It may help down the road.
I would like to know if anyone sees a benefit to me revealing who I * did try * to scan?

Lightfoot- I ask for the name of your cleared townie just before End of Night, please. It’s possible this is your last chance, in case of some critical failure. But try to delay until it’s too late for the scums to react.

Also, consider bluffing who it is, just in case the scums wait until the last minute to attack said person.

If you can lie and screw them up, do it. If you’re alive in the morning, correct any such lie.

Edit: I think you were blocked by a scum blocker or paranoid townie doctor. As such, who you scanned is not as important. In fact it could reveal who you did not scan N1, and that’s information the scums don’t need, and info we don’t need.

Focus only on what you know.

I hope no one groans too loudly that I’m going to be extra chatty tonight. I have reason to believe I might end up dead soon. Imagine!
I’ll do one final, complete re-read of the game, and give you my final report on my findings, before night ends. Then, you’re probably going to be pizza-less for the remainder.

Enjoy the peace and quiet.

Fine, I don’t agree with the methods but I agree with the message. I think I just passed his test.

Once pedescribe is scanned, he needs to come back and continue actually playing the game, with posts. Otherwise he’s failed to make his point and has joined the ranks of the bad behavior brigade, when he knows better.

His double-vote on me early on strikes me as townie or very risky. It’s the main reason I’ve left him alone so far.

i was hoping that ShadowFacts would get more votes just to pressure him to use his doubling power but i see that the tide has turned to septimus. i’m not too disappointed since septimus is in my scum list.

Unvote ShadowFacts

for his last minute vote and having an all too convenient claim:

Vote septimus

for reasons i gave before i also:

Vote USCDiver

That was pretty gnarly, charlie.

I am without words ** gc **
Although I do expect a cross posting here

crap! not gnarly at all. i fell sleep in the middle of typing last night and posted as soon as i saw it when i woke up. can either mod please bleach or strike my votes? :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack::smack::smack::smack::smack::smack::smack: :smack: :smack: :smack:

I am semi confirmed (no counter and we ass/u/me) there is a detective in game. I’ve mucked up my usefulness but I CAN identify ONE Town player.
IF Scum is blocking me as long as I am alive then that role is “busy” letting other town roles do their busy-ness unfettered.

Not necessary, charlie. Round is over.

Somehow, you guessed correctly, septimus was scum.

Nicely done!
