Default Font for MS Windows (can it be changed)

I am looking for a way to change the default WINDOWS NT font. The area to set fonts on the Appearance tab under “DISPLAY” options does not show any font type of size nor is it updateable. I have searched HELP and Microsoft’s web site and am not finding anything. Does anyone know how this can be done, or if MS provides a way to do it.

On Win2000, on the Appearances window, you need to change the Item being modified before you can change the font. I just tried it, and when the Item is listed as “Desktop”, I cannot change the font. But for other items, you should be able to change the font. Does the Windows NT Appearance window show a rollup for Item?

You have to log in to NT with Administrator privileges to change such important settings.
