My hard drive died and has now been replaced. I’m working on inputting all the passwords, bookmarks and links that I lost. A problem is that the default font is too small for my aging eyes and I don’t know how to change it. So I turn to the Dope with the hope you will fight my ignorance concerning default font sizes. Thanks in advance for any help. (I don’t know the brand name of the new drive but the guy who did the work told in it is one terabyte in size—just in case someone is curious)
Not sure what version of Windows you’re using, and I don’t recall if it’s the same on 7 as it was on XP, but basically:
Right click on your bare-naked desktop and select Properties.
Go to the Appearance tab.
At the bottom, there’s a drop-menu for setting the font size.
If you just want to change the font size in the browser, easy shortcut: hold down the CTRL key and scroll up on your little mousewheel. The size increases with every upward click and decreases with every downward click.
Worked like magic. Thanks for the reply.
