Del Taco menu weirdness

Scanning the on-line menu for Del Taco today, I noticed that there was a disclaimer about “regional differences.” More to the point, there are regional menus for AL/GA/OH/SC/Melbourne, FL and a different one for Kissimmee/Bradenton, FL. My guess is that the latter is one of their test markets for new items. But what in the world would account for the lumpage of the first menu? Why is Melbourne tacked onto a list of states? Anybody have a clue?

Not the most important of questions, I know. But my curiosity has been piqued.

Del Taco is mainly in the West/Southwest. Those are pretty much the only locations outside the main area. That verbiage might be outdated since it looks like they don’t currently have any locations in SC.

It could be something like a franchisee that owns a bunch in the area or region has enough pull to get a special menu.

Huh, i didn’t realize Del Taco was still around. It was our go-to spot late at night back in high school; 29 cent tacos and hamburgers. We could eat for a buck.

Del Taco recently removed my favorite item, a spicy jack quesadilla. They are dead to me now.

I felt the same way when they removed their “Big Fat Taco” which was their version of the Taco Bell Gordita.
