I had posted to Tom Waits Patiently’s thread “I am Rude” in MPSIMS. A few minutes later, I got an e-mail notification that someone had replied. I clicked on the link, and I was told that there was an error displaying the link. Thinking it was just a problem with Hotmail, I went to MPSIMS and searched for the thread. I couldn’t find it. Was this thread deleted? This possibility struck me as weird, because I couldn’t find anything remotely offensive about the thread (unless TWP was a known troll/sock puppet, I suppose). Anyway, what’s the dilly, yo?
You might have noticed he’s been banned too, which adds credence to the troll/sock puppet theory.
Also, he started two threads about turds and had a porn site set as his homepage, which probably didn’t endear him to the mods.

I deleted it. His profile had a link to a porn site which we had asked him to remove. I do not want people who use the SDMB from their offices to get into trouble with theor employers for unwittingly clicking a link that goes directly to porn.

I REMOVED his link, and he put it back in his profile. I wrote him a letter, telling him what I’d done and why. Apparently he didn’t take me seriously.
