According to your auction link, about 6000 still exist. I’m not a car expert, so I couldn’t say how common that is. I know it is rare to see any on the roads today.
Also, the DeLorean Motor Company of Texas has a large number of original DeLorean parts it purchased from the factory in Northern Ireland. They offer remanufactured DeLoreans using a large number of never used parts, including engines and transmissions, so essentially you can purchase a “brand new” DeLorean that has never been driven.
I had a Delorean once. I do miss it, it was cool to drive.
For about 15 minutes, which is when it would either overheat, or something else would go wrong, and I’d have to pull over and fix it or have it towed on a flatbed.
