There were 50 or so Republican Congressmen who wouldn’t vote for a clean bill to fund DHS for a single week. Democratic votes prevented the Republican crazies from having a shutdown of border security occur already. The Fuck Obama vote (or at least the first one on the subject, considering that there have been more than 50 about ACA already) to try to keep him from stopping deportations (Huh? Yes) is coming anyway, just as its own clean up-or-down bill. *Who *are the obstructionists?

Nobody’s doing the tango. In this case, it takes one party to shut down the government, the party that refuses to vote for funding the government unless it gets 100% of its demands met. Your attitude speaks of an ill-informed voter who has swallowed the GOP’s tripe over and over again. All you can do is express platitudes like “both sides do it” because you think it absolves you from actually having to understand the issues and make an informed decision

So, Bonehead cuts a deal with Granny Pelosi to pass the one week desperation extension with the promise that a “clean bill will” be offered next week. She says. He says he did not have political bargaining with that woman, Ms. Pelosi.

They already passed a bipartisan bill to fund DHS through September, that Boehner won’t schedule for a vote. This is all on the Pub’s back.
