I’m guessing someone is butthurt over the spanking he got earlier in this very thread. Calm down, Nancy. No one can see you crying over the intarwebz.
Also, Americans have died for centuries to preserve our ideals, and thoughtless, cowardly shits like you would throw their sacrifice in the garbage so you can have an ignorant illusion of safety. It’s a fucking disgrace.
Why is it that the central theme of 21st century conservatism seems to be fear? It didn’t used to be like this. Why have the bottom-feeders like Magellan become the voice of the party? We need two strong parties (at least) and we get this. Bleah.
Cite? In any case, the idea of putting civilian offenders in front of military tribunals is ridiculous. Are you going to call out the army to settle divorces too?
He’s been a little more specific than that - and there’s a difference between military captives and civilian ones. People captured in Afghanistan =/= people captured at Logan Airport.
Surely. I’m guessing those guys were largely captured on battlefields or hold-overs from the Bush administration where no attempt at acquiring evidence was made.
Because, you simpering, blindly ideological clot of shit, he appears to be using that power for what it’s supposed to be used for. Like guys caught in theater with arms or nabbed through intelligence operations. Good try though. Maybe you and Magellan can be travel buddies. How about Somalia? I hear they have the kind of bootstrap economy that you and Magellan would like.
Because Democrats are not dicks nor are they evilly for their own party while America is harmed.
We could have blocked troop funding in Iraq, voted against the Patriot Act, refused to provide polical cover for Bush’s adventures in breaking the law, but many people, including Hillary who tried to deny it later, felt that it was more important for America to succeed than to harm Republicans.
Republicans, with few exceptions, have overwhelmingly decided that it is better to harm a Dem than to help Americans, and have voted thus.
The Chicago mob is getting desperate (Scott Brown 52%, Coakly 46%).
I expect a charge of “voter fraud”-look for demands for recount, Acorn workers ready to stuff ballots.
