We could have blocked troop funding in Iraq, voted against the Patriot Act, refused to provide polical cover for Bush’s adventures in breaking the law, but many people, including Hillary who tried to deny it later, felt that it was more important for America to succeed than to harm Republicans.
Republicans, with few exceptions, have overwhelmingly decided that it is better to harm a Dem than to help Americans, and have voted thus.
