So NYT reporting that Netanyahu has accepted a bridging proposal. Remains to be seen if Hamas also agrees but it would be GREAT for the DNC (all other reasons for being great belong elsewhere) to have a ceasefire deal announced and take the wind out of the sails of the protests outside.
I’m not sure it would have that much of an impact on the protesters. They want all U.S. to Israel cut off. Now.
That is not going to happen in any ceasefire deal.

I still don’t get what these protesters think they will gain by voting for Trump or not voting for Harris/Walz. Do they forget Trump is responsible for recognizing the Israeli Capitol from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, which was essentially a slap in the face to Palestinians. Do they think Trump is going to do them a solid here, that Harris wont?
I’m not sure that the protesters are going to vote for Trump.
Seriously, they feel that the administration hasn’t done enough to stand up for innocent Palestinians, so they protest.
I wonder if an October surprise is better.
Maybe Swift will show up on the big screen. I do wish she’d make an endorsement soon.

In post #587 of the “How can Donald Trump win at this point?” thread I quoted this from one of the protest organizers:
We just feel really strongly that we have to send the message that … we deserve better than to choose between the lesser of two evils every election; to have things to actually vote for, not just voting because they’re not the other guy.
So they aren’t necessarily voting for Trump as bobot mentioned. They just don’t see much difference between the two parties stance on the situation in Gaza. And it appears to me that no, they don’t see Harris doing them a solid, as you say.
