I hope this is still on-topic, but has anybody been monitoring Trump’s Truth Social account, or that of any other prominent Republicans?
It seems to me that the speakers at the DNC over the last few days have been getting more powerful in their messaging regarding Joy and Hope and Moving Forward Together and so on. Of course, tonight Tim Walz speaks, and tomorrow Kamala Harris speaks, so we’re just going to keep getting more powerful messaging.
But speakers are getting in their digs at Trump when possible and appropriate (Obama and “crowd size,” for example). Does anybody know how (or even whether, since he has people to shield him from bad news) Trump is taking all this?
He’s posted some comments about Angry Joe Biden and about lying Kamala/Dems, but no real responses to those gibes.
He just posted a count of how many times his name was mentioned vs the border or fentanyl or crime. For him this proves the extent of Trump Derangement Syndrome. Posting other lies and rants. Mostly gibberish.
More than that is a bit off-topic for this thread. /hijack

I’m impressed by Oprah. I knew that as a TV host, she could speak and speak effectively. But I had no idea she could speak this effectively in this context. Especially identifying herself as an Independent, and urging Independents to vote Harris/Walz.

(First were in 1972. My parents planted us in front of the TV for the roll call and acceptance speeches that year. I haven’t missed many since.)
