Desigining a Mii

Not sure if this has been done but “Mii” is too short to search on. I downloaded Check Mii Out and they have all kinds of really good Mii characters that look just like the characters they’re representing (Albert Einstein, Michael Jackson, Homer Simpson). I just can’t figure out how they are so accurate given the basic Mii-creating tools.

Is there some way to download additional features for fine-tuning the faces and bodies of the Miis you can create? Even for creating my own Mii, it seems like there should be more/better options for noses, for instance. None of the given options are really very good.

Part of the trick is using the various parts in ways they are not intended. Eyebrows become eyes, eyes become ears, beards become mouths, that sort of thing. Remember that you can move each of the pieces all over as well as rotate them in various ways and scale them. Combine all that and some people are able to make some pretty creative designs.

In addition to that, I think the people who are generating the really great designs have a lot of practice – they’re likely submitting entries to the contests week after week.

BTW, I got the Wii Fit for Chistmas, and it’s very encouraging to have Barack Obama there to help you do the hula hoop.

My daughter is really good at these and knows all of the tricks. Famous people are fun, but it’s even better to have Grandpa doing the ski jump.
