Mine must have this….

….the ability to get though 18 inches to 2 feet of snow.

It must seat at least 4 adults. Not weebels. Adults. The driver must have enough leg room (adjustable peddles).

With the seats folded down…. It must have……

Room for two adults. 2 medium large dogs, two cat carriers one large suit case and 2 carry-ons. Plus incidental bags.

It must be able to pull a 3000 lb trailer.

The rest is incidental.

(but I do really want heated seats)

  • It will produce zero at-source emissions of GHG, ozone, soot, or other nasties.
  • The 98th percentile tall male, and the 2nd percentile short female, will be safe and comfortable driving it.
  • It will grip the roads effectively in a cold, icy Canadian winter.
  • It will be especially safe for the occupants in a collision.
  • It will have high exterior visibility for the driver, effective and reliable brakes, and a well-placed horn control, to help prevent those collisions.
  • It will be manufactured in such a way as to reduce energy consumption and waste material.
  • It will be so constructed that at the end of its service life its parts can be easily separated and recycled.
  • It will be capable of going 1000 km on a single tank of fuel or equivalent charging of the power source.
  • It will be capable of traveling at speeds of 130 km/h.
  • It will be so designed such that minor maintenance can be easily done by the owner.
  • It will include built-in navigation and commmunication systems allowing acces to directions, fueling station location, weather, traffic, telephony, and WWW information, presented and limited in a way that the driver cnnot be distracted or overwhelmed by them as drivers today sometimes are by cell phones.
  • It will include an emergency kit for breakdowns in winter on a lonely highway through the boreal forest.
