Design your own Glee episode

Most episodes of Glee had at least some minimal theme, and some were centered around a strong theme like a particular artist (Madonna, Lady Gaga).

If you could theme your own episode of Glee, what would you choose? Feel free to simply list simple ideas, or if you like you can get into playlists and who sings what, etc.

Mine:

  1. Angry chick rock - obviously some Alanis, maybe even a whole episode just for her Jagged album, but maybe some Ani DiFranco, etc…

  2. Just for laughs: a very special “misheard lyrics” episode! Featuring “Blinded by the light” and “Red Bedletter” amongst others…

  3. Maybe an episode solely of decent showtunes.

  4. Lesbian folk rock. Indigo Girls, Melissa Etheridge, K D Lang, Jill Sobule, Disappear Fear, etc…

  5. Various holiday themes - Valentines, New Years, Winter holidays, etc.

  6. En Español! Juanes, Shakira, Mana, Michel Erextun, hey maybe even some Ricky Martin and other classics…

Bagpipes.

nuclear winter.

Tribute to Marcel Marceau. So the appalling promos during the Simpsons are bearable.

I know

Superintendant Bobbi Glass decides to visit the Glee club, while she is there she tells Mr Shue about some former students of hers, and how they can help the Glee club

Mrs Nicole Julian-Ethridge…Personal motivational coach

April Tuna-Dick and Emory Dick - Christian Spiritual Rock composers

Exquisite Woo - COstumer to the stars

Mary Cherry - the new Glee Club finacial backer

Kazoo music.

Armpit music

If I could design my own Glee episode I would have everyone else singing whatever they felt like while I made out with Puck under the bleachers.

Acoustic, which means not just no electronic instruments but NO AUTOTUNE!

The return of Neil Patrick Harris

A Jesus Christ Superstar episode

Guest appearances by Brian Stokes Mitchell and Matthew Broderick as Rachel’s gay dads

A flashback to Sue’s prom featuring her parents (R. Lee Ermey and Georgia Engel) and the guy who stood her up (played by Matthew Morrison) and a revenge that would make CARRIE look like an angry poem published in the school paper.

Michael Urie from UGLY BETTY as the neurotic driving instructor Mr. Lynde

a Rat Pack episode

Puck learns one of the lonely housewives he’s been shagging (Sutton Foster) is Mrs. Figgins

Played by Christopher Guest and Parker Posey.

The entire cast goes Le Petomane on someone’s ass.

If they even thought about bringing Sutton Foster on as a guest star I’d be so there…

There was a recent Sally Forth strip in which her strangely feminized husband Ted rhapsodied about a possible all-ELO episode of Glee. I’d go for that…they could bring back Olivia Newton-John and do the Xanadu songbook! (Have they done “Evil Woman” in reference to either Terri or Sue yet?)

I was thinking a Peter Gabriel Tribute episode would be rocking. How more theatrical can it get than that?

Okay, death metal is really not the kind of music I’m interested in. That said, I think it would be absolutely hilarious if the Glee cast had to cover some death metal music. Growling and all.

That would be awesome. I can envision Kurt doing something like that.

A former lead Cheerio (Britney Spears) who was Sue’s greatest student ever and who was her right hand ‘man’ when she was in school gets a job as cheerleading coach at another high school with Sue’s help, then delivers Sue’s first major defeat at the first meet twixt the Cheerios and her squad (Snap-Crackle-Pep).

Not quite death metal, but we did get a peek at something close with the KISS episode

Any excuse to see Artie dance, be it dream sequence/temporary miracle cure/robot legs/LSD trip/or whatever. And give Harry Shum/Mike Chang some dialogue for Og’s sake: I was beginning to wonder if he had a speech impediment or too think to be understood Sino-Spanish accent until I saw him on an interview show (speaks fine), but the guy dances like he was born without bones.

SKA

I’m an old-fashioned girl – I’d love to see a Fred and Ginger episode.

With Finn and Kurt.
