Desperate Housewives 11/27 *Spoilers*

Oh. . . my. . .

I would think that we can all agree that the show has redeemed itself. Granted, it took half a season, but dayum.

I was laughing at Gabby’s lil show down with the nun. I’m sure that spat will turn the Gabby haters off more, but I thought it was hilarious how the nun called her out.

Lynette’s week was certainly meh, but it will be interesting to see how she handles being away from her kids even less. Do you think Booby Mc Boss is gone for good? I doubt they’d boot her off just like that; I’m sure she’ll be back for some drama.

Susan is annoying and skeletal as ever. They should kill her off or something already. I’ve never understood how she was the star of the show: her acting is meh, she isn’t easy on the eyes, her character is annoying- ah!

The poker game was the type of scene they need more of- I loved Edie’s jabs at Susan.

But Bree! BREE! SHE is the true star of the show. I heard the rumor that a regular would be dying and I knew it couldn’t be one of the girls. Quite frankly, I’m glad to see George go- then again, I doubt he’s actually gone.

Bree’s my favourite, too.

And George is for the worms – bank on it.

I thought it was a bit much that hellboss boss was hanging around drinking wine after being fired – but then again, I guess the uberboss is supposed to be incompetent, so that figures.

How much you want to bet Bree is going to be charged with murder or manslaughter or something for George’s death? There’s a note that he told her he had taken pills, and she didn’t call 911. In any event, it was nice to see the old Bree back.

Susan is getting more and more annoying. Quit being so freaking needy!

I’ll bet Lynette will rehire Stu and make the whole lawsuit go away that way.

I’m waiting to see if TWoP labels the Hot Nun as Poor Man’s Renee Zellwegger. Who is that actress? She could be a stand-in!

I’m glad Dr. Goldfine wasn’t killed.

Sister Hot Pants looked like the nanny on Growing Pains.

I think that Bree is going to be in big trouble. The detective guy will probably think that she seduced George to kill Rex, and then killed off George to keep him from implicating her. I mean they find evidence at George’s house that he killed Rex, the bellhop can testify to giving her the note and seeing her go up to George’s room, and now George is conveniently dead.

I liked Susan this week. The quick thinking and doing the right thing was a bit out of character though.

I liked what happened at Lynnette’s job too. Do you think they’re going to address bully bosses? If Lynnette can be a “nice” boss and do a good job, make the place profitable, that’d be great.

Would hiring Stu back make the lawyers go away?

The nun looked like Leeann Rimes, the country singer. Anyone know who the actress is?

Yep, this is the frist show this season that lives up to the first season. Bree with the shotgun was priceless. I’m surprised how they let George die so quickly-- or did they???

Melinda Page Hamilton. Looks like she’s just starting to get her break. She’s been doing a lot of guest TV work within the last year, including turns on Nip/Tuck and Numb3rs that aired this month.

Absolutely. If George had managed to wake up again, I have no doubt that Bree would have crammed some more pills and Jack Daniels down his throat.

Oh, I forgot…a grammar mistake!

Gabby answers the phone and says, “This is her.” :smack: The proper phrase is “This is she.” I don’t know if this was a deliberate mistake to show Gabby as uneducated, or if the writers didn’t know better.

Grumble grumble grumble…

I think it was to make Gabby look dumb. The writers have everyone else speaking correctly, and Bree’s speech especially is flawless and concise. Gaby’s not the brighest bauble in the jewelry box.

I hope so. I would hate to think the writers would be that stupid.

The plots of this show are dire and have been since the beginning, but I keep coming back for the acting, which is grand. I think Hatcher does a great job with Susan, even if the writers have made her rather one-note since the beginning. But the a few weeks ago scene with Mike when he dumps her while she’s a wedding dress – it took my breath away. Same thing with Bree this week. I think the way it played out with George was dumb, but Cross sold the scene.

I don’t think so; the note gives every indication that George took the pills himself, willingly. All Bree has to do is say that George was dead when she got to the room.

That’s far more common in writing than in speaking, where ‘This is her’ is, if not quite preferred, much more common.

With the notable “and I feel badly about that” exception from the pilot, repeated endlessly in promos before the show aired.

That was some good stuff last night. Of course Susan approached the whole thing in the wrong way, but that’s exactly what we’ve come to expect from her.

Bree truly is my favorite character. It looks like things are heating up between her and her son next week. Good thing---I was hoping he hadn't been forgotten.

I liked the faith, charity and nun twist for Gabi and Carlos as well.

I'm darn near done with Lynnette and the workplace. I just can't imagine her staying there much longer.

Per the boss, the lawsuit was settled already. Presumably the boss still makes the hirig decisions and no matter how big a flake he might be he wouldn’t hire back someone who’d sued the company.

Indeed. Didn’t Winston Churchill start one of his radio addresses with “It is me” or “This is me”? Very few Americans say “This is (s)he.”

I do.
