Desperate Housewives 11/7

I missed the Halloween ep. Did they send Tom’s mom packing?

Also, when had Bob and Lee broken up?

Re: Tom’s Mom. Yes, she wandered off during trick or treating and even Tom couldn’t deny she was becoming senile. They sent her off to a home.

I am pretty sure Bob and Lee broke up last season or earlier this season due to one of them realizing they really didn’t want to adopt a baby after all and the other wanting to.

As for my comments, did they ever explain what happened to Susan’s strip club money? I know at one point Mike refused to use it for Pride but it seems t this point they are just pretending it never existed.

Also, the winner of the least surprising surprise was the “revelation” of Paul’s wife’s mother. Did anyone not see that coming?

Susan had to pay back $9,000 to her former website employer, I think. It had to be paid to somebody.

I don’t think they were broken up at the end of last season. I recall they both wanted a kid, but Lee was a little less willing than Bob to continue going through the heartbreak of not getting one.

I’m guessing that after Susan and Gabby got Carlos and Mike out in the open over Mike’s money troubles, and Susan took the time to go through Mike’s books, she used the strip club money to pay back Carlos, Mike’s pride be damned. Then they got some notice from the IRS that they owed a lot in back taxes, and she probably put the rest (or most of the rest) toward that.

I haven’t yet seen the episode you’re discussing (I’ll see it tonight on ABC.com) but if the answer is Felicia Tillman then I called it more than once sine the season began.

Thanks for the fanwank. Of course in a soapy show like this, it doesn’t really matter. But any explanation one can pin story weirdness on makes it easier to get on with the plot.

I still feel like it’s weird that two adults, each of whom previously could afford their own entire house, now can’t afford one single house on two incomes. Especially when one inherited a lucrative business from their dead ex. But… OK. This is a soap show.

Mike never had his own house. He only ever rented, when he wasn’t with Susan.

Don’t forget, there was that IRS business at the end of last season. That wiped out what money they had.
