Desperate Housewives 12/7

Andrew is set to marry a doctor.

Dang it, I missed the first half of the show, but I gathered that Bree accepted the doc, Carlos got to see again, and Preston stepped in for Porter. And the ending…well, maybe I would have seen that coming if I hadn’t been AWOL for thirty or so minutes.
What else did I miss?

If you go to www.abc.go.com, click on ‘free episodes’, then choose ‘Desperate Housewives’ from the list, they’ve now got last night’s episode available (it’s episode 10). I’d offer to recap it for you, but I don’t think I could do it justice.

Great episode, and now we know who creepy Dave is after, and why.

Wait, is he after Mike? I get the feeling he actually plans to kill Susan and MJ. He said he was going to do to Mike what Mike did to him (killed his wife and daughter). Which would follow with keeping him alive at the fire.

Yeah, that’s how it seemed to me too. He doesn’t plan to kill Mike, he wants him to suffer the loss of his loved ones. Now that Mike and Katherine are dating (for the moment) I wonder if Crazy-Dave will alter his plans to include her?

I think that’s why they’re moving towards Mike and Susan getting back together.

Having missed that part of the season premier, I don’t know what caused the accident, and the little clip they showed at the beginning of last night’s episode didn’t really explain it. Anyone know how the accident actually happened?

All I remember is Mike got too drunk to drive, and Susan was driving.

Are we talking about the accident the was shown at the beginning of the season? There was a stop sign knocked down which the other driver (not Susan) was unaware of, so she ran right through it, and Susan couldn’t stop in time when she saw them shoot out of the side road.

It seems clear enough at the beginning of episode 1 of this season.

What the others said, but in case you didn’t know. That’s all we’ve seen of it (that little clip). It happened during the five years between last season and this season.

I’m confused. Why the misdirection about the brother in prison if those of us who predicted that he was the father/huband were right? Could the poster who sarcastically said a few threads ago he was related to all three have been right?

Red herring.

Can I just say that I love Dana Delaney, but I can’t stand her hair. It ages her. I like her hair in the left hand photo much better.

Nooooooooo . . . not on Desperate Housewives! (read the last two posts.)

 It’s ok, cmkeller, I’m just ribbing you.

I don’t mind the minor ribbing…

but I did admit that they do minor red herrings. I think Dave’s motive falls into this category, as all we ever knew about the brother we heard from Dave himself, and we know he lies. For it to not have been Mike would have been a MAJOR one (because of all the actions taken to get Mike closer), and that, I continue to maintain, they don’t do.

I thought the Carlos and Gabby story was amazing this week. Ricardo Antonio Chavira deserves an Emmy for how he played this season.

I was not surprised by Preston being involved in Porter’s defense, but I was surprised at how. I thought they would just parade Porter and Preston both in front of Dave (in court) and prove how unable Dave is to truly identify Porter as the boy he supposedly saw.

I kinda hope they still do. If they track Porter down after Prestons testimony and say “Look, you were talking face to face with the wrong one and you’re claiming you can tell the difference in the backroom of a bar?”

I agree. When Carlos walked into the empty closet was one of the few moments that Desperate Housewives has tugged at my heartstrings. He has been my favorite character since early in season 1, and possibly the only character I’ve never at least briefly hated.

And for as good as Carlos and Gabby’s story was, Mike and Susan did us the favor of balancing it out by sucking. Again.
