Last week the show was pre-empted for a country music awards show.
Let’s see…we need to figure out what Zach did to Dana, what Mike’s undercover job is, and what Rex’s big secret is that makes him cry after he has sex with Bree.
Okay – my multi-tasking got a little out of hand, and my attention wandered for a bit – what was going on at the end? I saw Elena and HotGardnerBoy in bed and the MIL come in – why wasn’t Elena freaking out? And I gather it was Bree’s son who hit the MIL – did they not turn him in? What was the point of them closing the garage door at the end?
They closed the garage door to hide the car and protect their son. I believe Elena wasn’t freaking out because she was sick of sneaking around. Being caught meant no more burden for her.
I think Elena was afraid, but she thought she could handle Juanita. It was Bree’s son Andrew who hit her, but I think he didn’t do it on purpose. He called a friend and asked if his friend still had a fake ID, so I think he was DUI. I think that the Vandekamps are planning to keep this quiet as long as they can.
Thanks for the quick answer – that’s what I thought on the Bree thing, and I was honestly confused by the Elena thing.
So – which housewife is going to check out permanently next week? Gotta be Edie – if only because she was never intended to be a permanent character. Also she seems to have a contract out on her.
I’ve not been reading these threads much, is there a reason why you’re all referring to Gabrielle as Elena? Is it a nickname or just a slip-up that everyone’s followed?
I think maybe that was her way of “freaking out” - did anyone notice she just began packing her bags? I think she thought she was a dead woman, so she’d better just make tracks… or even if not that extreme, that her marriage was over, so she might as well just beat it now.
And just out of curiousity, am I the only one who doesn’t hate Bree? I actually like her. A lot. She’s possibly my favourite! Maybe it’s just where I’m from, but I can empathise with her pain the most… it’s not that I want her to get exactly what she wants, but I know where she’s coming from… maybe I feel saddest for her. I mean…
When her kids spoke to her in tonight’s episode, I grabbed my husband’s arm and just seethed at how selfish those little brats were - how dare they hurt their mother that way! Couldn’t they see she was suffering? And how selfish Rex was, buying them gifts, knowing the position Bree was in! What a beast!
I thought Rex and Bree shut the garage door to gain some time. I can’t see Bree, who although a hardnosed bitch, is actually a fantastic mother who won’t put up with crap from her kids, letting her son get away with murder.
Is Ritalin that addictive for adults without ADD? And why doesn’t Lynette just renew her kids’ prescription? She’s not giving it to them anyway.
So, we learn a little bit more about Mike. He seems to be a private investigator looking for a missing woman. I wonder, could the missing woman be Mary Alice?
IANAD, but I would figure Ritalin is a drug that can abused as easily as any other. I’ve heard it works very similar to amphetamines, but don’t quote me on that.
As for why she doesn’t just renew the prescription, I wondered that, as well. Maybe I missed something…
The doses are planned for X number of days: more than likely she’s been chugging down more than the recommended dosage. Since she has two kids on Ritalin that’s a helluva lot.
Sorry, I am not going to spoiler box anything that has already aired. I think the rules for other threads should apply here.
No, you’re not the only one who likes Bree. I think she would drive me crazy if I had to live with her but I don’t think there isn’t anything she wouldn’t do for her family and I think we’re seeing that now. I can’t imagine them covering the whole accident up, they may just be buying time until they can get a lawyer. Or one of the parents may decide to take the rap for it.
We, the audience, also have the benefit of being the only ones (beside Bree and Zack) to hear Bree’s story about when her mother was hit by a car and she was left alone while everyone went to the hospital so she ended up doing the only thing she could think of to help and that was clean up all the blood in the street. I think that gives us a little more insight into what makes her tick.
Besides she can’t be all that awful or she wouldn’t be included in the group of friends in the neighborhood. They may find her perfectness annoying but they still like her.
Good thinking, especially since we know that Mary Alice had changed her name from Angela.
I guess it’s conceivable that he could move to the neighborhood and know that there had been a recent suicide, and not know the dead woman was the one he was searching for. Unless he saw a photo or someone described her to him.
