Desperate Housewives 11/21, Or Let's Try This Again

Ack, there is two of you!

Personally I can’t stand her and was happy as all Hell when her kid said he wants to live with Rex. Being a souless Martha Stewart clone is not what is best for a family. But, that’s just my opinion ;).

I like Bree too, but her hair bugs me. She needs to get it bobbed or something, it’s too long.

I was disappointed that they appear to be covering up the accident, but it fits Bree’s protect-the-family-at-all-costs mindset. If the kid (forgot his name) was honest enough to own up to it to Bree, then Bree and Rex should have done the right thing and the boy should face the consequences.

I don’t like that Bree is using the accident to get her family back together. That’ll haunt her.

I just got my TWoP recap for the pilot, and there’s an interesting paragraph, which in the light of future episodes, may provide some insight.

For those unfamiliar with TWoP’s wonderful snarkiness, MAVO is Mary Alice Voice Over. I’m assuming MAVO is talking about the gun shot. So, I wonder if this has something to do with Dana? Did he, as a child, accidentally shoot his sister?

No, I think by “the sound he’d heard only once before” was when they originally dug the pool up…to bury the remains. But I’m afraid Mary Alice’s son may have accidentally killed Dana; maybe smothered her? And then Mary Alice and her husband kept it quiet. I want to know what the back story is on why her name was changed. Maybe witness protection program? And is Mary Alice/Angela the long lost sister of Mike’s new houseguest? GAAAAAAAAAAHHH! This show is driving me bonkers.

No, the visual when that was said was his dad digging up the bottom of the swimming pool. My guess was that he had heard “the sound” when his dad had originally buried the trunk and he was hearing it again now that his dad was digging up the trunk.

And we don’t know what was in the trunk, do we?

Well, they said “human remains,” so I’m thinking it’s Dana. Now I’m wondering… is Mary Alice the new woman’s sister, or was DANA the new woman’s sister?

I got the feeling Dana was a baby when she died, so I don’t think she would be hitting the Saddle Club, which, according to Mike, was the last place she was seen.

Did he say that? Okay, so, then Mary Alice can’t really be her sister, either, as she was seen all over the place the day she blew her brains out.

I missed the pilot, so I never knew Mary Alice.

Yes, when Kendra asked Mike why they were going to the Saddle Club, that’s what he answered.

I just wanted to offer an apology for this here, as I am still new to using this site, and still “new” to being on the west coast as well, and with TiVo users… I tried to err on the side of “safety” so I wouldn’t get jumped on.
So pardon my spoiler box, please, and thank you for pointing it out so I know in the future.

Well, I think he said it was the last place she was seen. We don’t actually know who the she is he’s looking for, do we? Could be Mary Alice, could be Dana, could be someone else entirely.

Do we even know if the Mike plot and the Mary Alice plot go together? Or could they be two separate hidden agendas on Wisteria Lane?

a. bree is my favourite as well. i enjoyed the “stuff” on the lawn neatly piled and in sections. i was rather surprized that she did not box and label it.

b. mike seems to be looking for a woman other than ma. he said that ma’s house was one he hadn’t been in and didn’t give that much importance. he also mentioned that the bull riding bar was the last place she was seen alive. ma did not go to the bull riding bar the day she passed on.

c. i’m wondering if carlos’ mum will pass on next week.

d. i think bree is waiting for alcohol to leave andrew’s system and get the family legal team together. i can see her setting things up so he would go to counciling or do comunity service rather than jail time.

e. i figured shaft would slip something into edie’s drink.

f. i think that pinning ma’s death on edie is a bit hasty. if she did write the note, she and mrs kravitz have the same stationary and then how could you tell which wrote it… as one person said, " in a fire people rarely run in to save stationary."

Just what we need, another plot point. :stuck_out_tongue:

rocking chair, I was wondering the same thing. Either coma, or dead, is my thought, because I don’t believe they’re going to wrap Gabrielle’s indescretions up before the end of the first season. Maybe a cliffhanger?

Er. This is in response to C. Carlos’ mom dying next week, BTW. Sorry. Totally loopy today. :smack:

I was happy to see a commercial for Alias on its new night, Wednesday. I had been afraid they would pull the stupid move of moving DH to another night, and that might have conflicted with something else I watch (worst case scenario would be Tuesdays at 9). Yay for a continued Sunday night timeslot when I don’t really have anything else to do. Woo!

No. That was pure speculation on my part.

My goodness, ask a question and three posts later it’s a fact! (Much like gossip on Wisteria Lane, I’ll wager ;))

I think the Zack’s father (can’t remember his name) jumped to conclusions much too quickly in connecting the stationery to Edie. As the detective said, that same stationery is sold right there in town, so it could have been anybody’s. She probably did get it from Mrs. Kravitz, whom we already know is a blackmailer.

I like Bree as well, but her hard line with regard to Rex’s gifts to the kids irked me. I’m not sure her childhood story about cleaning up her mother’s blood fully explains her personality. Rex had mentioned that she used to be more fun (in college, IIRC) and he didn’t understand why she had changed. If she were like this when they met, he wouldn’t have married her.

It’s Gabrielle I’m beginning not to like. It was one thing when she was just having a little fun, but controlling, demanding, possessive and underhanded are not attractive qualities. Even if Carlos’s mother dies, there’s still going to be the question of why she sneaked out of the party and took a cab home. Gabrielle can play ignorant, but I don’t think Carlos will let that go.

I’m psyched about Alias too. It’s about frickin’ time!

Edie did stay with Mrs. Huber after the fire. I’m wondering if Edie didn’t just “borrow” a sheet of notepaper to blackmail Mrs. Huber. Since we also know Mrs. Huber fancies herself a blackmailer (after what she tried to do to Susan), what makes the most sense is that Edie is trying to blackmail the blackmailer. Which is probably why Mrs. Huber let Edie stay at her house for so long.
