Yet another oddish question…

Is there any technical information (blueprints, lengths, weights, etc.) available for the S.O.L. orbital laser platform from the anime classic Akira?

Hell, knowing anime fandom, there’s probably someone out there who knows where the toilets on the thing were supposed to have been.

So…can anyone enlighten me?

I always thought that thing was really cool, but have never heard any info about it or what it’s based on.

Meh. It was just “Generic Anime-ish Space Station #271”. I think they used the same thing again in the Batman Beyond movie.
