Story. Struck about 100 miles from Rome and many are feared buried in the rubble.
My nieces are there right now on vacation with their mom. Just heard from my brother and they’re all okay.
*No idea why I just shared that. Figured you’d all be concerned too, I guess. 
I thought of the Doper who was planning on vacationing there soon. I looked up his thread in IMHO and after scanning it, don’t see that he’s there yet.
Horrible news. Those old stone buildings are bad news during an earthquake.
