Mrs. Chef says if we want to have the dopefest at our house, that’s fine with her. She suggested a theme party, like an 80’s party for example. Everyone can break out the acid-washed jeans and Members Only jackets (admit it, you saved them), get your hair as big and Flock-of-Seagulls-y as you can, and get down to Mrs. Chef’s extensive collection of Big 80’s music. I can cook. What do you all think?

I’m up for the theme thing, but I honestly have nothing left from the 80’s. They all went up in smoke in The Great Bonfire of '91. Perhaps a porno theme?

I think I can make it. It may be the day I’m taking defensive driving (for insurance not because I got a ticket), but I probably could postpone it for the following Saturday.

Okay, if I’m going to cook I’ll need to know well in advance how many people are coming so I can figure out the menu and the seating arrangements. Creole cooking is my specialty…any objections to jambalaya? I could also do cuban-style black beans and rice…that always gets rave reviews.
If anyone has special dietary needs or allergies, I’d appreciate it if you let me know.
