Anyone know if us old beta users need to re-download, or will our versions patch up to this release?

I got in, but I didn’t have a Battletag set up, so it bumped me out and directed me back to my account page!
Damn!
Now it says “This Battle.net account does not have a Diablo 3 license attached to it (error 12).” I have my battletag set up so I don’t know what’s the problem now.
Is it a newly set up Bnet account? If so, try adding the keys to any previous Blizzard game on the website.

Oh yeah, re: battletags: apparently “voltaire” violates some unmentioned naming policy, so mine is now “revoltaire” with some random numbers after it.
And, just saw that they have capped the number of players for now…
Looks like if you ain’t already in, it could be a while while they address some issues.
Nope, the one I’ve used for years now. Blizzard just posted on twitter that this was a known issue. Sigh.

You won’t be able to tell the difference between wired and wireless unless you’re at the very edge of your signal range and it’s dropping out.
Multiple people on the D3 forum are reporting that this worked for them.
I might have to try my luck in the evening my time, when it’s stupid o’clock in the morning in the US. I know it’s Friday night, but hopefully I’ll be able to squeeze myself in there. I’d like to get a chance to see it, so this download hasn’t been a total waste.

For those of you already in the beta, the patcher autoupdates you and you’re good to go, no need ot download the open beta executable.

Damn. On the road and won’t be back until Sunday afternoon. 
I remoted into my server at home and (after figuring out what my old Battlenet account was and getting a new password) have it downloading now. I’ll try and play it later tonight or tomorrow through a LogMeIn connection, but it will probably suck. I don’t suppose the beta is going to be open after this weekend (I didn’t read through the whole page linked in the OP).
Oh well…I’ve already pre-purchased it, so hopefully I’ll be home to enjoy it in May (I’ll be out of the country after May the 15th until early June…maybe it’s time to invest in a new gaming laptop :p)

Someoone named “zhang” tried to create a battle.net account with my email (back in august) - I reported it.
Only problem is I can’t register. I can’t create an account “This e-mail address is already in use.”, and I can’t reset the password “This e-mail/name combination does not exist.”
I suppose I could use a hotmail e-mail or something…
